You got some great mopars there man! A '69 Charger, a '70 challenger, & a '70 Cuda! Incredible! Your living my dream! Your trucks are way cool also, I rarely see old dodge trucks in my area. Keep building the collection.
@@erictickler9320 Same here. I daily a carbed car, Quadrajet. Below 20*f I give it 4 pumps. Above 40*f it only takes 1 to set the choke and give it a lil squirt and it pops off.
@@jordanwiley4582 ..My 290,000 mile 1968 Charger RT 440 when I daily drove it in freezing weather, with snow I removed my choke as it was stuck on lol ..My car I would only have to hold the pedal half way down and it would start after one crank, just like a new modern fuel injected car...I replaced the choke and it worked the same..Even when left for 1 whole day in way below freezing I would pump it once then half way down and it started right away and ran fine ...I own several restored old Mopars and they all start fine,I drive them all the time so the longest one sits is week and a half, maybe ...Even my 72 Chevelle SS 402 starts fine after I rebuilt the carb..Yes I own 3 GM vehicles and down to 2 Fords a 70 Cyclone 429 and 66 Monterey 410 4bbl..And a bunch of Mopars,a lot...Embarrassed to mention how many I own..
I have a 1969 dodge super bee,440 stroked to a 543,did a cold start last week took a good while to get it going but I assure you once it was warm ir ran like a raped ape
And my neighbor asked me why people used to be happier back in the days ... Ofc you'll be happier if you woke up on your neighbor's, father's or even your V8 roar and fuel smell every morning... not the dog barking or that riced import thing... and diesel smoke from his VW
Yeah, every time I go to work and I have to hear those annoying ricers that kids in men's clothing like to rev for some reason to act cool. My stock daily sounds better
Riced import thing lmao, Japanese cars are amazing. Honda’s with a straight pipe ain’t my cup of tea (living in the city you hear a lot) I like the aggressive nature of v8 but also love my little rice cooker too
@@justinanderson8758 he does have a point what if you were hiking in the deep mountains and suddenly a killer comes with a machetes and a gun will that truck be a realiable getaway PLAN?
My buddy has two dodges a 69 dart and a 97 neon (base model two door) and the only times he drives the neon is when he doesn't have the money for gas in the dart and in the winter time
@Karamba do some research becuase that comment was just ignorant. Usa and Canada economic development is based on gasoline we not only use gasoline to trade with other countries for money and other goods; however polymers in gasoline or fossil fuels can be turned into plastic which can also be made to weave clothing. Our clothes are made out of plastic which will not extinct so gas cars also wont extinct. Electric cars have been around sinces the 1800's why tf do you think they don't do well. Do some research or just listen in history class in highschool ffs..
@Tony MexicanPop Never said it was for money. To me it's all about the government trying to control everyone. Whether or not I said crazy to you oh well.
13:12 takes me back to the '80s and all the Mopars I could've bought back then. A 1970 black on black 440-6 'Cuda 4spd w/pistol grip for $4500. Could've also bought a 1970 Challenger R/T w/383 Magnum for $2500 and keep in mind these were very nice condition drivers for that price....and the list goes on. If we only knew these cars would become bigger than some 401K retirements lol... we could've bought them up like crazy lol.
Its perfect the way it is, the most fun old cars have battle scars, they carry a completely different personality into you when driving them compared to shiny cars.
@@Hikarmeme yeah I agree, it depends on their driveway though. Where i live i have friends who have long dirt roads to get to their house and can dirty up a car in one 9r two passes depending on how dry it is. Thats the south for you.
Or people who felt the video was way too long and drawn out for ads. Could’ve been a 4 minute video without all the ridiculously long cranking and idling.
What I like about the Cuda is that the exhaust ends go through the bumper cover and don't protrude underneath. Nice little design feature at that time.
I do get the fact that people want these older cars bodies to be looking new and spend a lot of money on it,but an old v8 muscle car with a bit of rust and not looking 'brand new' has always been more appealing to me
Pedal pump once or twice, half way or all the way down, repeat with different intervals after each failing attempt to start... and so on with different techniques and habits!! Each has his way but the common thing is the beauty of living these old days today with an electric car probably passing down the road next to you. All hail these stubborn and resilient v8’s that refuse to die..
Eh, import owner but lover of muscle, thats why I have my 280zx. Massive, iron block straight six that made power comparable to v8s of the same era, all while being somewhat smaller, but still just as badass sounding.
@@jameswalsh6810 It's fine to have an allegiance like that, but isn't Mopar limiting? I mean once the original Challenger was discontinued, you had to wait all the way till 2005 for an interesting Chrysler (unless you count the fwd Daytona turbo, or Mitsubishis... Or the Viper)
I’m wondering if he would ever buy any of the following 1956 300-B 1976 Chrysler New Yorker brougham 1973 imperial Leberon brougham 1980 Chrysler cordoba 1986 Chrysler New Yorker fifth ave
Me too! Sadly, most young people nowadays would rather listen to filthy rap music.. I'm glad that I'm from a generation that experienced what was REALLY "cool"!
@@T.Tuxedo I'm 21 I can't stand most rap I'd rather listen to just about anything else. Not a fan of country either but still sometimes better then rap.
Derek Phillips Im a mopar fan. But will admit hearing a 460 start from an old Ltd is beautiful music same as the sound of my old 72 torino with a 351 Clevland
Ryan Wingate that’s how I feel every morning. Laying in bed cranking until my battery is about to die. Then one last crank and boom! Old man power comes to life to scare all the fragile youngsters. 😂
