Love seeing your kids out there helping you in the garden. One of my favorite childhood memories was working in my grandfathers garden.

Wow, you guys are not having much luck over there in Saskatchewan! I’m in Alberta, we’ve had pretty mild temps for the past few weeks. I always appreciate your expertise especially regarding the cold climate gardening. Julia is absolutely adorable by the way!❤ she’s growing so fast!

I think you are doing great with all those kiddos! I have two kids under 4 and am asking myself if trying to start a cut flower business is worth all the stress. And cleanup after their little hands! Omgosh...dirt everywhere, all the time

Look forward to seeing your perennial garden too. It’s supposed to be 29 C here in Edmonton today May 1, it’s been warmer here than in sask. I did pick up some of that same sheep manure too; it wasn’t the best quality . I don’t think sheep poop out sticks 😂. Found some mushroom compost that was lovely .

You also know you’re a gardener when you jump up and down, fist pump and say “yesssss!” after you found the perfect hose reel.

Snow….again! Oh, Kristen, will it ever stop this year and give you some peace? Hope your snaps will be ok. Pity Julia’s not a good napper……but it’s good she sleeps through the night. By the way, what are the names of your other children? 😊💖🦋🕊

Cutest helpers ever! Kristen do you get what you pay for when it comes to frost cloth and could you harden off seedlings under frost cloth? Thanks again for a great video!

gosh how do you have your raised beds not frozen in April? Mine in 5b are still frozen to well into May.

Do you think ranunculus would handle a few nights of 0c or like -1c?

Sandy soil? In Regina it's gumbo, clay. Yuck

Zone 3??? I do not feel sorry for myself anymore (Zone 6b). AND with two young girls and an infant you’re able to stay organized. Again, NOT feeling sorry for myself anymore (kids are 18 & 20).

In some ways I wish my kids were those ages, but I guess those days will come before I know it. Even though it’s a lot, there are many blessings.

@@ShiftingRoots The time absolutely flew by. When kids are young, you live your life in half hour increments. Then they go to school and it’s “how many errands can I run before I have to pick them up?” Then you turn around and it’s off to camp and you don’t know what to do with yourself except be amazed that it’s quiet for the first time in 13 years. Now, it’s VERY quiet but I we have raised healthy, intelligent, respectful and hard working children.
