I would probably just note on the back as I think it's useful to have the reminder of how the character got there. I didn't do this here for obvious reasons. I'm surprised there isn't a worksheet like first edition.

Not sure what you mean, I assume you mean the clicking. That's the autofocus kicking in. I should have put on a fixed focus (you live and learn).

It was the autofocus , I've since upgraded the camera

Or limited time or experience. They give you a character far faster and for new players you aren't overwhelmed by choices.
