Coldplay and mostly Chris Martin was on 60 Minutes on February 8 of 2009. This was in the Viva La Vida era when they were touring all around the world.
I wouldn't and couldn't ever say they aren't skilled. Dude even knows leather pants are ugly, and i know nice is cool, vulnerable is attractive and they are an excellent cohesive(usually) group of fellows. These guys still get called boys, they've been men since their 1st apartment. Or gig.
nah. Chris seems to be the only one in the Coldplay world who is fully aware that he 'can't sing like Beyonce, dance like Usher or write songs like Elton John.' All you sycophantic fans, take note.
In actuality most of Elton’s songs were in collaboration with Bernie Taupin and they were together tremendous song writers. I have heard that Bernie would write most of the lyrics but it was Elton that figured how the lyrics should sound in the song.
Why does he have to be so funny, charming and good looking? Well...really, he’s a genius. He’s got it all. He’s successful and talented! All of it! Everything! 😍
I used to take my meal break in the lobby of my workplace whilst watching MTV. In 2000 I came across Yellow by a group I'd never heard of. I've been a fan ever since. ❤️
He is such a good person. The world needs him. Love all of them, love COLDPLAY! They put on the best concerts of any band I’ve ever seen. So much passion and energy and love!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Coldplay successful for two reasons No matter how much Chris and the boys want to admit it their talents of writing songs and chords it’s like they’ve been doing it for 50 or 60 years And number two they’re very humble they haven’t let money power and fame go to their head And that’s a very unique skill to have when you’re on top of the world No matter how big you get Coldplay keep on doing you stay just like you are your music rocks and I listen to it all the time Just a humble fan
There is something very positive about having one or both parents who are teachers especially as demonstrated by each member of Coldplay having parents who are teachers. Teachers are so often very encouraging especially when it comes to following one's dreams; they are emotionally supportive + great at facilitating success in whatever one is most keen to pursue; they instill a strong work ethic yet humbleness along with collaborating well with other; and teachers typically need + have the kind of sense of humor which helps them reach + communicate well with others along with a self-deprecating sense of humor/never taking oneself too seriously. Chris Martin as the lead singer + Coldplay's front man really shines as a glistening model on behalf of his fellow band members of the positive benefits of each band member being raised by teachers. I not only would love to meet Chris Martin + his band mates, I think the band members' teacher parents would also be lovely + interesting to meet. Best wishes!
I love this comment so much! Very true words! Teachers deserve so much credit. I live in Southampton where Will grew up and where his father still continues to teach in the university so I may have a chance to meet him, or bump into them in the local pub (they're often spotted here!)
He said in an interview somewhere he has wrote songs for "years into the future" to account for his age. The statement was regarding aging as a pop star. Some songs are more appropriate for an older gentleman, so I'm sure there are many that've already been penned.
Guy actually mentions in this interview - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WxwxHBrCbeQ.html, that Arabesque was a totally different song written 10 years ago and only a part of it is in the beginning of the Everyday Life version.
4:07 🥺🥺💔💔 he looks sooo adorable I can't he is so handsome and charming, I watch their interviews just to hear him talking can't get tired of his voice
That album length rule came after X and Y. Chris said it was too long but I say, what song would you cut? It’s my favourite album and still listen to it from beginning to end today. Brilliant!
I mean you can say like "Brandon flowers of The Killers is on cbs tonight" and it sounds like it should. But then I checked my title and saw that it maybe has been seen as "Chris Martin of Coldplay on cbs "but not going to talk about Coldplay" so I just changed it to Coldplay.
Chris Martin says he wants to write the perfect song. He already has... Several times. Yellow, A Sky Full of Stars, Every Teardrop is a Waterfall, Paradise, In My Place, Clocks..... just a few of the very best.
How did those lyrics not make the final song?? Loved that part also when I saw this on tv back in 09’ knew it would be a good song but that verse didn’t make the cut....
John H I wish he never mixed the initial lyrics of Wedding Bells’s chorus (from the South Bank Show) and these ones. It would be just amazing if they put out Christmas Lights and Wedding Bells as two separate songs.
"We can't dance like Bianca we can't write songs like Elton John, we just do the best we can with what we've got." Tch. I'm so glad they don't dance like Bianca. And I like Elton John's music a lot, but I like Coldplay's more. Here's to the greatest band ever made.
The perfect song? They already have fix you, clocks, a sky full of stars, hymm for the weekend, adventure of a lifetime, the scientist, something like this, a higher power, my universe, magic, everglow, violet hill, that one, that other one, yep and YELLOW!!!!
Is it just me or does Chris Martin remind you of David Gilmour? I see a lot of David's personality in Chris when he speaks. Kinda Tripped me out. Probably cause I had a gummy lol.
He is in your taste.(mine too). Beyonce can sing, tho. For true, but Chris reaches all of us. His style isn't perfection, but putting it 'out there's..
