Most of current Coldplay fans started to know about the band when they were already massive, that's why they didn't follow their evolution. Those who knew Coldplay in 1999 or early 2000 just miss this old good time, where their music was way too much intimate, surrounding and atmospheric. It's not we hate Coldplay now, don't missunderstand us, but we miss this stuff a lot!!!!
I agree and plus their new music is not very complicated in creative they're also had wonderfully complex chord progressions and melodies now it's like three chords
This song is a masterpiece, rather every song from Parachutes is a masterpiece from Spies to don't panic. They could make this music in such a young age is incredible. Absolutely amazing
One of my favorite songs, not just of Coldplay, but of all time...and I didn't discover it until this year. This live version manages, incredibly, to put it over the top when I didn't think the studio version could be improved on. 1:25 was interesting. Shows Chris doesn't do these songs by rote but is thinking about the lyrics as he's singing. Over-thinking in this case, which makes him mess up and he realizes it with a grin. Proof that thought is faster than the speed of sound....
Blia Young-- A very remote part of Alaska. I didn't get Internet until last year and had no TV or radio before that. I've been making up for lost time where Coldplay is concerned, and it's been a musical paradise...the only trouble is, now they're always in my head.
Blia Yang, thanks for believing me. I've found some who don't. (Check out www.alaskaforreal.com where I describe what it's like living out here.) I have listened to both albums--a lot. I love them both. What's interesting to me about Coldplay is that when their music is playing I can't do tasks that require concentration because they're too distracting. I get lost in their music. There's only one album of theirs that I can play as background music, interestingly, and that's X&Y. Have you had this experience?
These guys were playing in small venues when I first worked for them and then arenas and now the world, I knew their potential then and I have always been proud and privileged to have worked with such a professional band and I will always hold them close to my heart, such a valuable memory to hold on to xx Jane from Manchester Apollo and hard core crew love and peace guys xxxxxxxx
I saw them in Louisville, KY back when they were touring with X&Y. He screwed up the beginning of one of the piano heavy songs TWICE. He then put his head on the top of the piano and started swearing and laughing. Then he claimed he owed the audience 5 cents back on their tickets. It was pretty funny. I don't remember which one, but it was one of the older standards, so that made it even funnier that he was screwing it up. We all knew he knew it cold. Brain Fart.
+Mooie Telebogen He almost continued with the line that came later on, so you could tell when he tried to get back on track, and then he turned back to look at the rest of the band. 😇
esta música se alinea con mi tristeza.. parece que me dice.. entiendo lo que sentís.. yo también lo estoy sintiendo.. y me transmite paz.. me hace bien.. gracias ColdPlay por tanto..
This is one of the best live performances by any band I've seen and trust me ive seen hundreds of live bands from Cat Stevens ,Dire Straits, Red Hot chilli pepers Buffy Saint Marie, just to name a few.
when i'm listening to this song, i just have to give up everything i'm doing, and just feel the music. absolutely awesome. as other Coldplay songs. love them!
Beautiful melody, lyrics and there is a certain fragility about it that I have not found in any other song. Criminally underrated. And i just can't take why they don't like n play Speed of Sound anymore. Both are my fav songs.
Wow listening to this brings back all the feels of being a young lost teenager and so curious at the time to learn about life and becoming a man. It's such a blur but at the same time so damn nostalgic. Great band!
iust got over a mental breakdown...trying to laugh at myself...a bit paranoid over your reply hammond i didnt realize you were quoting the song and that your possibly a fugitive from another country...sometime icant help but feeling like a fugitive in my own country...sorry for pisssing you off..no hard feelings
@@davidleiby7512 right mate...I thought only die hard fans are out here who properly know the lyrics..Anyways ,Hope things turn good for you soon..Keep calm man!!
Life changing album. Father got hospitalized for life threatening condition. The video with Chris walking the beach as the sun rose while he high af was striking my spirit. Not advocating drugs but yea. Yellow quote Id bleed for you I intrigued and triggered me. A love that's head over heels foolish. But it resonated with. What a vibe. Bought the album. Became one of my all time favorites. I miss this Era of Coldplay. Listening with hungry ears... Spies. They told the future. Which is the now. Right now.
I loved this song as a kid, listening to it when it was release. Now I’m rediscovering it and it’s as consuming and magical as it was when I was kid. Coldplay, you make some wickedly good music.
This band is one of those why people should quit saying that all used to be better in the past. I'm a Floyd fan... but still (or maybe because of) i think that music keeps evolving and there will always be good bands, among which there is Coldplay. Keep up the good stuff and thanks for letting us enjoy your talent, Chris, Jonny, Will and Guy!
Wow, I can't believe you have this video. Thank you, thank you. I love Coldplay esp their early days before they got big. That's when they were so raw, so original, so pure and earnest. Thanks!
