this was the song that kept me going when i first met the love of my life and she was still off limits for me. and then we got together. it was beautiful for some god blessed time. but now we broke apart, and i´m back to the song again, to see if it keeps me going.

Cash, even gone is still a Legend. It is nice do see this kind of homenages from living legends. It would be great to hear Cash and Martins voices together. Unfournetly it his time had become.
Your Right, They did write the song For JR but he sadly passed away before he got a chance to record so Coldpaly put it as a hidden track on their album although many people knew about the song before the album was released. Great song all the same!!
Til kingdom comes means that the person will wait for the person forever it is the same as "to the end of the universe", otherwise, this song is a "hidden song" on the X and Y album, also this song was orignally a Johnny Cash song, but he died before he could publish it so Coldplay took it to do a tribute

Sorry, correction. Coldplay wrote this song and it was to be performed by Coldplay WITH Johnny Cash. However, Cash died before they were able to perform it together. Don't mean to bring you down just thought you should know.
it's pretty inspiring that in the midst of thousands of people, a technical setup that would baffle stephen hawking and a load of cameras staring down at them, 4 mates from college can share 10 square feet of floor, with simple instruments and do this.
@OTHsmallvillefan sorry it is a cover..the song was written by johnny cash, who died before he could record it...it is a beautiful song though..and suits coldplay very well..one of my favs..seems like this would be a nice song to dance to at your wedding.
@BigYin83 yeah, I'm pretty deep... just kidding, nah, Me and 3 guys I lved with in college used to jam all the time... we still play from time to time, but we're all moving in different directions... I look at coldplay as a nice "that would be an amazing thing to leave college with" vibe.. much better than a degree. Final exam on monday. shite craic.
Well yeah its because when you sing in front of alotta people you lose your lower voice a bit, so you cant put the energy behind a low note as much as you can a higher note. But yes, i do love this song.
