Renenactment was great -- altho the poop mess wd have been fun to include in the renenact -- just to let ambulatory people note how hard it is to clean up such a mess when u cant get up out of it!

Hey, just found you guys. My fiance is newly and permanently in a wheelchair as of January this year. It's been a big learning curve, for me as well as him. Glad to see another couple aceing life and being candid about what things are like. Mess cleaning and skin checks are second nature to me now!

I am so glad that Cole wasn't hurt any worse. Charisma you are a champ. Clear head in times like that is critical in making sure the appropriate actions are taken at the right time. My father was in a wheelchair the last 10 years of his life and he too has fallen. I can remember the first time it occurred I was so scared he had broken a hip or something. Learning the correct way to handle those situations, when it happened again, I knew what to do and how to handle it. So SHOUT OUT TO CHARISMA!!! You are amazing... Cole did great also trying to protect his head so that it wasn't any worse than it was. YALL are awesome and sooooooooooooooo encouraging!!! STAY POSITIVE or as Sophie would say STAY PAWSITIVE......
You guys are awesome. I suffered a fall on my back 2 years ago and did damage to my spine. I can still walk. But am in constant pain. The nerves in my legs are dying and my hands are permanently asleep.You guys have taught how important it is to stay positive through every situation . Thank you! GOD Bless you both!

Really glad that Cole's reasonably okay. I completely understand the panic that Charisma went through though - my mom had a seizure and landed in that position too. It's hard to walk in on. Really glad you all have a couple different pieces of equipment accessible to help you out.

First, you both get three thumbs up for the reenactment 😂😂😂 But on a serious note, I’m glad you weren’t more seriously injured. I fell out of my chair a few years ago and landed straight on my hip and broke my femur. That was quite the fiasco so I know how worried ya’ll had to be. It’s nice to have Charisma with a medical background and being able to jump into action. I hope for a continued smooth recovery.

My husband has what he calls his "humble tumbles", where he starts to fall but catches himself on a chair, the couch, and unfortunately sometimes the floor! When Cole was talking about his body giving him chills when he has to use the bathroom or something serious is going on with his body, it's interesting to hear how the body adapts when the usual warning signs don't work anymore. Great humor in how you presented this whole situation. I know that likely below that humor is some frustration. Stay strong, you got this. Times like these help us dial in our skills, routines, tools, etc. Thanks for the reminder that pain is not just conscious experience but also a physiologic process. Just because pain isn’t felt it doesn’t mean it’s not there.

I was a full-time home care worker for two quads for 35+ years and could I tell you some stories 🤣 They have both have since passed away and I am well into into my golden years, but in some ways I still miss caring for people. I enjoy watching your channel and hope for the best for both of you.

I know what you mean about the different types of spasms, I had a weird trembling in my legs last year and it turned out to be alerting me to an early pressure sore, so now I know when I feel that, to immediately pressure relieve and check. Learning to know how our bodies communicate can be insightful! My feet also take ages to heal if they get damaged, so best of luck with a swift recovery 🤞
That reenactment was the best. And yeah, disability and chronic illnesses can really throw a wrench into things. I just love the look on doctors/nurses/etc faces when they list of a bunch of symptoms and ask me if I'm experiencing any of them and I'm just like "Yes". "Which one?" "All of them". Or I'm told to keep an eye out for nausea and a headache and to give them a call if they occur. Like great, so should I call you right now? My migraine is 5.5 years old, I always have head pain and I'm nauseous at some point during the day 99% of the time. It's really hard to "keep an eye out" for symptoms you've experienced daily for years.
