Omg congrats on your awards last night!! So.. this song is a true story for me.. I had a big crush on a guy in Middle School,(we both did) but he was shy 🙄.. after highschool he got married.. but divorced later. It had been over 10 years since I'd seen him and one night iy was out with some friends at a karaoke bar.. I sang Heads Carolina! It took me a long time to get back to my table when I was done because so many people stopped me to compliment my singing. The last table a guy stopped me and grabbed my hand and said "sweetheart you have such a beautiful voice" I thanked him for the compliment and then I realized who it was.. the rest is history!! We married a year later! So when I hear this song.. I get so excited! ❤❤ Congratulations to you and Jo Dee .. who is one of my favorites!! 🎉🎉❤ Thank you for this amazing song!! It's on replay!

I hate those country fans that have to say “I despise country music today” its like they think it makes them cool or more of a hick saying it…. Country music is actually in a great place right now. Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Stapleton, Blake… and a couple other newer artists are making original country music. Just because some artists have a pop sound and some mix with rappers for hick-hop, doesn’t mean the entire genre is finished and not good ole country music!! In '96 when I left the house in Ohio moving to North Carolina, I cranked up Jo Dee's song! Now I'm back in Ohio helping with some family matters, but when I leave this time, I'd love to play it again (or yours) heading to Cali with LG ridin' shotgun moving to her home!

Love the song, it was a great tribute to the classic and didn’t take anything away from it. Wasn’t over the top or anything, it was absolutely awesome. And idk if it was the same with anyone else but Jo Dee Messina’s smile at the end made me wanna cry. Happy tears of course but that was probably one of the purest smiles I’ve ever seen. You can tell even in the video how happy she is. Always loved her growing up.

Not only is this a sweet homage to one of my all-time favorite songs by one of my very most favorite country artists, but the original “Heads Carolina, Tails California” has been one of my go-to karaoke songs for years. Back when the karaoke scene was really active in my town I would be up on the stage with “Heads Carolina, Tails California” at a minimum of twice a week. So yeah, to hear “She Had Me at Heads, Carolina” is a whole level of special for me. This song means so much to me!!! ❤🥰🥰🥰
