Jo Dee Messina joined Cole Swindell to perform the ACM Award-nominated song "She Had Me at Head's Carolina (Remix)" at the 58th ACM Awards in Dallas, Texas
You can tell shes's living it up! I love that Cole also said in an interview that he wants to revive more 80s and 90s country featuring the original artists. Im hoping it happens because if this is the sneak peak, were in for a treat.
The problem is a lot of 80s and 90s country artists are still making amazing records but they can't get played on the radio because of shit like Cole Swindell… This song is reductive. The only good thing that came from this was people finally realizing that Jo Dee is out there making music still after curb records blacklisted (because Mike Curb is an ASSHOLE)
Yeah, especially compared to Cole, it's almost like he's whispering all though he hold the microphone very tight. Jo Dee oppositely, sings loud and clear with the mic in straight arm
Hi Jo Dee! I haven’t seen you since 2003! You and your sister, brother, and boyfriend (at the time) performed at my wedding in 1989 in Waltham. I’m happy to see that you’re still singing and doing well! Love you! 😘 ❤
. Hello Miss Joe, I love you. I hope I didn’t vent spell your name wrong. Miss s Jo I hope I spelled your name, right? I love U so much. Miss is Jo you are my favorite country music Dye dye 😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
😂 My 5 year old (biggest country fan lol) couldn't understand why Jo Dee was singing Cole's song, so I had to school her. Actually young lady, he is singing her song and they just made magic together. 💜 Now she loves the original song and will be singing the words to both!
I was jamming and having a grand ole time the other day while scanning my SiriusXM presets because Heads Carolina came on Prime Country and then She Had Me at Heads Carolina on came on The Highway right after. It made my day.
90s country will always be my favorite country. There were so many greats-Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Brooks and Dunn, Jo Dee Messina, Alan Jackson, Shania Twain, Martina McBride, Toby Keith (RIP), and many more.
@markmccormick4461 my mama passed in 2016, she was more old school country music, me being an 80s Brat I am more 70s, 80s, 90s and today's Country Music...
I have 3 older sisters so I grew up listening to her, Shania Twain, Martina McBride and all of them. When Cole came out with his version it brought back memories of riding in the car with my sisters to school in the mornings
Jodee Messina is my favorite Country singer she is absolutely amazing and I have been listening to her since she came out as a country singer I have made fans out of my nieces and nephews
You continue to keep demanding that stage! I'm so happy to see you performing again!! Hearing his version the first time brought me so much joy, to see you perform it with him at the CMAs made me even happier. Flawless as always and my inner child is screaming in excitement for this collab.
This was awesome😁👍. I have always wanted to make a road trip through the US. This amazing song told me that I have to do it one day. Take care and God bless you all. Greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪
I’m straight up Mexican but let me tell y’all this. From the moment I heard this song in the radio while I was working my 4$$ off at my minimum wage fast food job. I fell in love with it. This song is so ch!ng0na like we say in Mexico 🎉
I have ALWAYS Loved Jo Dee's music/songs and voice!! Many of her songs gave me inspiration to press forward after going through broken relationships/heartbreaks! Sure do miss her in the Country music industry!!

This was the last song my wife and I had played at our wedding back in June. Even though it wasn’t our first dance we both think of this one as our song
I picked ip Cole when I was stationed outside Nashville. Then i moved to Wyoming where i picked up even more bluegrass and country. Reminded me of hanging out in a bar knocking back Sam Adams with my buds from the base
