I am actually the owner of that coupe that car was actually a very special car designed to test the new suspension as well as test the new balloon tires which is basically the modern tire we use today jj Cole was very close friends with Harvey Firestone so they worked out a deal to make a car to test the new tire technology. the car was shown at the new York auto show and we actually have a letter from Thomas Edison talking about the car in which he wrote to Henry ford asking them to use balloon tires as well. I have the original title from 23 even though it was built in 22 it was not given to the son of the company until he graduated from Harvard as a gift to him. I know it looks blue in photos but the car is actually painted in the original color of the car which was called tuxedo grey with black pin striping and hand buffed Spanish black leather. Although an interesting side note we have a news paper from 22-23 from San Francisco and this very well known doctor at the time had purchased this same model and this particular model was always made to the customers order and he chose a green alligator skin interior for the car now I would have loved to see how that looked in person. I’m hoping we can set something up so he can film some of our other cole cars next time he is in Michigan I truly appreciate him posting these videos and spreading awareness of those awesome company. Thank you to you as well for watching to learn also no worries for not liking the color I just wanted to let you know it was the original color of the car when it was gifted to the son of the companies founder. I’m very passionate about this company I can talk about the cars all day long 😂

@@ihockey0117 thank you so much, for sharing all of that insights and information. I wasn’t sure if this was part of your collection. I’ve seen a couple of Kevin’s Cole’s I still feel really bad that I didn’t get back and see him at the Greenfield Village.. I was trying to meet up with some other people and juggle some stuff and then my wife wanted to leave so I had to take them back to the hotel. I didn’t get to do a whole Lotta cars there this year which was a bummer but there is always next year =)

@@ihockey0117 OK, I just watched Jay's episode on the blue Cole from a year ago. I read your comment from then. Was that your car too? After seeing the video, I'd take that ultra-cool model over the coupe! I love that the door pillars can be folded up or down, and the driving sequence looked like it drives very nicely and smoothly.

@What.its.like. When I was a little boy, 1959, 1960. I had a book on old cars. In it was a French car that ran on a clock spring, the speed record of 126.27 set by the Stanley brothers in 1906. And the Apperson jack rabbit. It was a set of children books, maybe a starting point for a search. Yes, I'm an old car nut, too. Good luck Jay, it would make for a good video.

I want to cover one just not sure if it will be this year the goal is to cover at least one car from every manufacturer and tell the untold history of the companies where no car survived.. Bread and butter of this channel 1930-1964 but do cars outside those parameters =)
