Hanging out in the garage watching the Florida showers pass by. This calls for coffee with the Coleman 502 single burner stove, a moka pot, and some military surplus.
I just used my vintage refurbished 6 cup drip coffee maker circa 2020. ; - ) You got all the neat surplus army stuff John. Thanks for showing. Welcome back!
Thanks for watching another one. This one was not planned. I’m glad I had a few mins to make it. I love that little stove. I remember my dad having one when I was a kid. It brings me back to my childhood.
Cool... my 502 is a 1971.... Cheezehead Chris sent it to me... he even sent me one of those Moka pots. I like those pots, I have a couple of them. That’s a sweet utensil set! ☕️🍴👍🏻
Thanks Chris. What month was your 502 made? I was born in 71. The Moka pot is fun to drag out from time to time. It was the first time I used it on that stove. I like it because I’m the only hot coffee drinker in my house so it’s a good way to make it with regular ground coffee and not with the expensive Keurig. I’m thinking about making a video soon with all my military utensil sets. I think folks might like that. Thanks for watching!
Good to see you again John! I've never seen that moka pot before...looks pretty cool! And LOVE the old Coleman stove...that one looks to be in wonderful condition! Stay blessed brother!
Good video. Would like to see you make breakfast on that. That stove is great. The spoon is a great find. You should have said what the run time is on the stove. Hope you do more videos on it. Hope you do a review of some new boy scout gear if you get some. Do you have a boy scout tent. There slim to none and expensive. God bless. From Glenn CATT in Massachusetts.
@@John-Sherwood-W4JFS Thanks! All good here! Did you see that Dave Canterbury and his pathfinder school is releasing a stainless reproduction Swedish m40? It’s interesting. A lot pricier than the originals were 10-12 years ago… but still interesting.
@@John-Sherwood-W4JFS it’s interesting because he sent an aluminum one to be prototyped in stainless steel. The result is a stainless kit with the two ribs at the top that typically are the mark of an aluminum set. The windscreen is stainless too on his version, making it compatible with a wood fire as a backup.
Great! It wasn’t super strong because I backed off a little on the coffee grounds for this one and I didn’t use espresso either. It was a good afternoon cup!
