This is my review on the first mini bike i’ve ever owned! It’s the most fun i’ve had for the price in a while! Purchased at tractor supply fully assembled
I'm 350lbs and this bike has no problem hauling me around lol. I even had my son ride with me,he's 120lbs,that's 470lbs combined and still no problem. I would recomend this bike to anyone! I removed the governer on mine, also replaced the exhaust for a straight pipe (sounds awesome) and a bigger carb. Bike is much louder, faster and more fun!
Nice I’m modded mine with new straight pipe exhaust and I’m 215 and 2 weeks later my motor blew up! There just a hole in the motor. Before that problem my bike was broken for 4 months and I had to wait for a part. Because when I was riding my oil plug came out and my bike started to drain oil. There was another problem before that. Because I was riding one day and master link on the chain snapped! So my bike gave me a hard time but it’s fine because I’m getting a go kart. Not to mention this is my 2nd one the first one was a Mega Max 212cc. I’m sorry to tell all this info it’s fine if you don’t care. I’m just surprised it can haul you and your son.
@@spongebobsquarepants11 i bought 2 of these bikes,my kids ride the crap out of them,so far no problems. Me and my buddy who is the same size as me,we took the bikes for a ride on the off road trail, they did really good. On the steep hill,we had to get some speed to get to the top 😁. Sorry you had bad experience with yours.
@@R32LMedition yea my bike started to act different after I got my bike fixed. But It doesn’t matter because I’m getting a go kart anyways. But I’m happy you’re having fun on your bikes.
This is my first motorcycle ever. Not really into bikes but got this because I wanted something to ride around in the desert. This thing exceeded my expectations. Lots of machine for $600
If you remove/bypass the governor, make sure you also do the proper engine mods to make sure you're doing so safely. Connecting rod, push rods, valve springs, and rockers all need to be upgraded to safely remove the governor.
@@SLEV7NELEV11N it also isn't a bad idea to replace the flywheel with a billet flywheel, especially if you're going to be going over 8000rpm, just because the stock cast one could potentially explode
@@kraigynblemle613 did you not read the guys comment lol you definitely want to replace parts with stronger ones higher rpms higher stress on the parts that aren’t supposed to be stressed that much sure you don’t need to replace them but to be safe for yourself and so you don’t wreck anything on the bike itself you definitely should replace certain parts
I been riding mini bikes for years and all types of motorcycles. I'm 60 and bought two colemans 200s me and my grandson have been all up in mountains through steep and rocky trails and after 3 years no maintenance at all. They hurt to ride because there is no shocks but there fun as hell and easy to upgrade.
Awesome man. Just got the exact same bike yesterday. Mine also came about half full of oil. I drained it and filled it up with fresh oil. Rode it for about 2 hours today. Love it so much! It’s a great mini bike! Powerful little motor with 6.5 hp.👍😀
I've had mine for about 6 months. I Bought it thru Walmart and assembled it myself, the title says Tractor supply on it so I assume that's where Walmart gets them. The bearing on the jack shaft went out after about 4 hours of riding. The seal came off and grease came out. I replaced the clutch and jack shaft with a torque converter from Go Power Sports. Now it's about 3 times faster. about (35mph) with out any other mods. I have a Harley Sportster "48" and a 1949 Cushman scooter so I ride the Coleman just to go to the mail box here where we live. Also the lid on the fake gas tank vibrates and makes lots of noise. I have a bungee cord on it now but will probably glue it shut since I don't use it. I bought some road tires for it but the original off road tires are still holding up well on hard surfaces. All I can say is if you get one, be prepared to work on it a bit. Luckily I have a motorcycle lift table and don't have to bend down or kneel to tinker with it. I ordered a set of American made Timken bearings and replaced those on he Jack shaft though I'll probably never use them. It will go to the new owner if I ever sell it.
@@chillmusic5952 its actually powerful as hell, im about to take the governor off of it though just because it tops out at around 20mph, and it actually can handle a LOT of weight, my and my friend were messing around and decided to both get on it and it still MOVES
Nice bikes. Be sure to research the maintenance these bikes need. As an example, the chains will stretch the first few rides and need adjusted. Enjoy your mini bikes and ride safe.
Thank you! Yes first 10 hours do a oil change and then after that it’s every 90. I did notice my chain was pretty tight and snug when i first bought it and i’ve had to adjust it a bit as it did stretch. I’m also going to go through the fasteners and double check them to be tight. Again thank you for the comment!
Nice thanks for the review I work at Camping World in Cheyenne Wyoming. We don’t have that color all we have are red . I heard they make a ton of aftermarket parts .
I found one brand new at local store that was sold "As Is" for $200. It needed new spark plug wire ($15) and was missing gas cap ($5). I added oil & gas and it started up on third pull. Runs great. I was going to give it to grandson but his mom is totally against it. Darn shame, it's a really cool mini bike.
I got mine 2 yrs ago, paid 750 at Tractor supply, added the rear rack and bought a rear rim and put it on the front so i could have brakes on both front and rear., i ride it every weekend,
In November 2019 I purchased 2 mini bikes C T200-EXR for $898.00 and the protection plan $159.00 for 3 years. It came from Sams Club unassembled. I am 220 lbs. and top speed on both were 23 and 24 mph. (phone ap). I am pretty new to riding and my only complaint is when I twist to full throttle I have to hang on or it will dump me on my butt. lol
Bought a non running one for 190 on Facebook marketplace. Swapped it with a predator 212, removed the governor, got a billet flywheel, got a vm22 caeb, and got an ARC billet rod. Went 50 with a straight chain
Nice bike bro I got the ct200u and it hits 26mph I just took the Throddle screw out and I also got a upgraded air filter and pipe and upgraded carb and the bike sounds better and louder
Thanks for the review... do you think these are cheaper buying in store? I'm finding they are $800-900 each, or maybe they have just gone up over the past year or so. I would love to get these for the $600-700 price tag. Thanks
TS is selling them for 699 right now. Got a nused on marketplace for $475 yesterday. Hadn't even had a full tank through it. Littel girl was scared of it.
@@Kane-yg8gb Seriously? If you own a wrench, then fix it. If you DON'T own a wrench, then you shouldn't own a mini-bike in the first place. What are you ACTUALLY complaining about here??
I am about 4 hours in on this new bike and the unit does not want to start and when it did I could see discolration on the valve color (hot?) What type of gasoline is everyone using. I may drain the gasoline and start there. I also hear a lot of knocking.
oh oh. Well first make sure you have oil in it to the full amount! But if the valve color is getting hot and you hear knock it might be detonation and piston slap from using low octane fuel. these require premium gas
Stage 1 kit + zip tie/limiter screw removal + carburetor pulls my 280lb butt with ease on my friends bike up hill I think that the weight limit is more of a recommendation the engine with right gearing will have no problem pulling any person the frame can be an issue though I've seen people snap welds on frames, you have to be doing some crazy sh××× but taking it on dirt roads small trails farms what it's designed to do a 300lb person will have little to no issues riding
@@pushhrodd01 under the gas tank there is a long wire with a coil in the middle zip tie the coil most of the way shut leave a little play. And for the screw when you pull the throttle there is an arm that smacks a screw its normally crappily welded and will break free but you can cut or bend the tab that comes in contact with the screw that limits full throttle ID look up coleman ct200u ex free mods there's plenty of videos out there showing how to do it
@@pushhrodd01 Mine was (sadly) welded pretty well. Removing the air intake (then covering the intake to the motor, obviously) provides easy access to cut off the screw with a Dremel or other cut-off tool. Just be wary of anyone suggesting removing the governor components. Doing so (without billet rods, cams, and flywheels) turns the stock Chinese flywheel, located just below your nuts, into a possible small grenade. Take your OWN risks there!!
@@slizardthelizard1988 LMAO!!! Yes, stock is 19 mph. That's IS woefully pathetic!! Simply cutting off the throttle-limiting screw (which they now tack-weld in place) will get you to 24-25. That upper-range might require cutting a couple coils off of the throttle-return spring. Going a little further by removing that throttle-cable-co-centric return spring and replacing it with one straight to the carb will get you a little more. If you REALLY want a boost, then replace that jack-shaft setup with a Torque-A-Verter (essentially, a CVT transmission) and a Stage 1 upgrade (better air intake & exhaust). I've gotten my CT200U-EX up to 43 on level ground. Next step, without modifying any engine internals at this point, is to swap out the 50 tooth rear sprocket with a 44 tooth I found and see just how close to 50 mph I can get!
@@fubisroc9673 how did you get yours to go that fast? so far i cut the welded screw and it does go faster. i’m going to order a intake and exhaust valve springs and 44 tooth sprocket. do you think i can get to 40 with this?
@@pushhrodd01 Probably not 40. MAYBE ~30-33. Get yourself a TAV30. Either cut the frame piece that only holds the chain-guard to make it fit with standard risers, or get a riser plate from OMBWarehouse that moves the engine up AND forward.
New flywheel if you do mods and turn more RPM . THE stock flywheel will explode and ruin your whole day and you probably be one legged the rest of your life. No joke!
No, dot requires turn signals, head lights, mirrors and a horn, you can get 50cc road legal scooters for around the same price, but this one isn't road legal.
