@@alexanderpapii4866I run a 12 tooth clutch with a 60 tooth sprocket and it does ab 45 to 50 everything stock on the engine all I have is a exhaust and governor removed it’s perfect for torque and top speed but I might go with a 55 or 50 tooth to get a bit more top speed
@@Black66 yes! I’ve been binge watching your videos haha I’ve ordered the sprocket , flywheel and coil because of you. Hopefully I get some good gains I think I will
It's not weird. All depends on how much weight you have vs. power as to how well a smaller sprocket can get up to speed. This is why race cars can use a high rear end gear and still have insane acceleration. Because they have enough power to do it. There's a curve to everything.
Gonna order one in between.... I hope. I still need low end. Thanks for the tips like you have done. That's the sequence I did in my Falcon mini bike. Keep it up
If someone where to remove the governor and leave the stock carb and exhaust would they be ok just adding a new flywheel or would they also have to replace the connecting rod to keep the anything from exploding?
Well I have a nibbi pe22 and exhaust for my bt200x and I just grabbed the 40t sprocket just trying to see if this motor will be usable on another project of mine before I pull it. I have a 420 going on the Coleman soon and was debating on using my 276cc flathead or this Coleman motor on my mm80 I’m leaning towards my flathead and selling this motor if it doesn’t wow me soon… 😊
Yes, you are right , they go about 20-22 MPH. This one had the governor zip tied. Check out the CT200U-EX playlist for more combos. Thanks for watching!ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X0SmAZJ6qW8.html
Shoulda went bigger with the rear sprocket and slapped a torque converter on it instead. Tons of power low and mid range and still good top speed. I have same bike with 60 tooth on the rear and 9 tooth on the torque converter jackshaft. Governor delete. It’s almost too powerful down low.. will put you on your back if you goose it from a dead stop or slow speed and will still do about 50mph with my big butt on it for top end.. I’m about 240lb
I have used a torque converter and straight chain. Check out the CT200U and CT200U-EX playlist for many more combos on this bike .Thanks for watching !
I have watched a bunch of them lol but all your testing done with the juggernaut and all of the mods to the ct200u I would of really liked to see if you would have kept everything the same and put a 60tooth rear. The power will surprise the hell out of you and surprisingly enough you don’t even lose top end speed.. you can get higher mph with straight chain and clutch but the down lower power is so terrible that the bike is basically rendered useless unless you only ride it on pretty level pavement and do no off-roading whatsoever. The torque converter and 60 tooth rear is an all around winner IMO. You can literally go trail ride in the mountains and have tons of power or cruise around the roadways still hitting about 50mph.. great content here love the channel. But would love to see the juggernaut and 60tooth rear combo tested 👍🏼
@@87fiveoh I'm not sure that would be worth testing. If you had 9/60 gearing with a Juggernaut once the belt shifts the result would be close to what you would have with the jackshaft and stock Coleman gearing. It would need around 7K RPM just to get to 40 mph. That's one of the reasons why I'm never going to use a Juggernaut. I would probably have to use 10/40 gearing with it to keep the RPM down at higher road speeds. I'm using 9/60 gearing and it is very fun prior to the belt shift. With a yellow spring in the driven in the tightest hole I get 4500 RPM in less than 100 feet in the yard. And half of the run is uphill. With my 196 I get to around 47 mph right at 5K RPM. With the 224 it should do better than 50. If you're getting 50 at 240lb you're doing really good. What engine and what mods?
@@Deucealive75 I have the 196 with governor bypassed and a stage 1 from go power sports and valve springs. 9/60 gearing on stock ebay tav 2 clone. I need to get a rpm gauge to see what kinda rpms I’m turning.
@@87fiveoh Good idea. Try to get one with a max RPM recall. Then you could just check max RPM after the run. I think there are some out there for $20 or so and they are easy to hook up. Mine isn't permanently installed so I could move it between two bikes.
I have a few videos on this bike so far. Check out the CT200U playlist. I'm also doing a GTS build in the next couple of weeks. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZFLSbnoH59g.html
My buddy and I have messed with our ct200's recently I found tillotson straight chain with 60 tooth had the best balance of torque and top speed. I'm really interested in this 40 sprocket with the stock jackshaft though.....
Pretty strange how your 0-30 time it faster. Maybe because the sprocket is harder to pull the clutch slips more and lets you get a better launch? Great video though, I'll definitely be picking one of these sprockets up. Paired with a torque converter this sprocket will be super fast.
Where can I find an equivalent sprocket? The link you have posted is sold out and I've looked around and not been able to find anything between ebay and amazon....but I dunno what specifics make a sprocket compatible or that I'm looking for what 420pitch, 1.58 inner bore, and the 2.25 spacing for the square hole pattern? Or am I over thinking this????
@@Black66 @Black66 thank you for the link man I searched everywhere and couldn't find it! I cant wait to be ripping this! If only I could figure out why braking and/or riding slow stalls me out now lol
You have to have a #40 sprocket to go with the 40 chain. You cant use a #35 sprocket with a 40 chain. When you buy your sprocket make sure it's made for a 40 size chain.
Would a 11 or 12 tooth or 44 tooth rear help tame the acceleration? I just got a used ct200u and first go I felt I was gonna get tossed off. Way more acceleration than gx160 on my doodle bug.
It really depends on what engine you're running. If you are going to upgrade to a 212 then the cc100x playlist will apply to your bike. It also had the 75 tooth rear sprocket. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tJeup9bo-wo.html
Hey Kingman thats not far im down in Prescott. Just started the mini bike addiction in July. Still learning and watching videos. How do the stock tires hold up on road so far? Im doing about 50 50 on and offroad
@monsterscooterparts they have the black 40 tooth that he has in vid but it's been out of stock for like 5 months so I'm getting a 38 tooth off of go power sports
went 120 on a harley sportster that was 6 over on the forks. i was buffeting pretty severely. low and slow gets you there. i still have my MC DL but im a mini man from now on, with the exception of renting some wheels on vacation. too dangerous on the street. i even spilled a honda scooter on the beach in the bahamas in 3 inches of water i found the only hole. it wasnt a car. cars=rinos
I've got a Tillotson 212 with governor delete, chinese mikuni, 125 main jet, and straight pipe with muffler on my mini bike. Gear is 10 tooth clutch and 44 tooth sprocket. For some reason, at full throttle, when I reach around 47mph the engine starts to cut off. I've tried bigger and smaller jets, and I've also experimented with removing the air filter for max airflow, but it always happens. Could this be a sign of valve float? I've got the stock springs in the Tilly and not quite sure what spec they are. Any suggestions would be awesome.
Not sure about the RPM you are turning but that could be the problem. One thing about it is the springs are super easy to change out and inexpensive. Another thing I've found with the Chinese Mikuni is the engine will cut out at the top if the main jet is too big. You can always look at the plug and make sure it has that nice brown color to see how it running as far as rich or lean goes.
@@Black66 ok just wondering because I just bought one too speed so far is 33 I’m buying the carburetor exhaust and the smaller sprocket tonight and I wanted to know b4 so ima try it with the performance mods first so I don’t mess anything up thank you very much ✅
How's about a 13 tooth jack shaft sprocket...and a clutch on final drive chain...a 1 to 6.3 ratio...and 2nd clutch starts to engage at 2600rpm to 3400rpm...nice torque take off and nice top end...

I’m going to try a 42 tooth 420 chain split sprocket. I have a 55tooth and I’m already going 60+. I built my Tilly even more and cranking damn near 20 hp. I also run a juggernaut. How much top end do you think I’ll gain? Hoping to go at least 70
Was it just not broken in yet in the prior videos? Or maybe the taller gearing kept it in the max torque range just that much longer to where it accelerated quicker in the midrange even with the taller gearing. I mean could you tell 0-10ish was indeed slower at least, or not really a difference?
I think it had something to do with what you said . The engine comes with a small cam that is made for lower RPM . I think the gearing put it right in its max torque range . Over all the bigger rear gear feels quicker though . Adding a torque converter with the 40 tooth rear gear makes up all the difference and then some .
@@Black66 I just watched both of those videos and the carb one too (subscribed), hoping I'm gonna see that red bike again with some engine work performed? I got a few of the bikes on my channel as well but I haven't got around to modifying them yet (spring hopefully).

I can't find any #40/41/420 Chain - 40 Tooth Rear Sprockets anywhere - they seem to be sold out. Do you know of any websites/companies that might have them?
@@curtisbrown5254 I think it would be really good . Especially if you weigh a little more .? I think the 44 would be a good compromise between speed and low end .
in the drag racing world its all about torque and gear, so have no fear, now play with new mods and you may? can lower sprocket again. hay, i was imprest on you test as well not being a mini bike owner
I just swapped my 50 tooth for a 44 tooth and i also have a 12 tooth up front. I'm hoping i don't lose too much bottom end either but i did it cause i want to hit 50 mph. With the 50 tooth and 12 tooth up front i was hitting 41 mph so well see if the 44 tooth plus the 18 lb springs i just put in will do the trick. If not i also have a mod 2 cam coming in the mail soon. :)

So total mods, governor removed, carb jet kit, upgraded air filter and 40t sprocket? Am I missing anything or was this just a 40t sprocket change? How was torque, judging by the faster times I would think it would be equal. Just concerned if doing this mod to increase top end, would I lose low end torque. Important as we go off-road in the sand.
And a header pipe. This is exactly why I was surprised. Usually, with a smaller sprocket, it would lose low end and gain at the top. I think this sprocket must put this engine right in the middle of the power band.
@@Black66 so I would really like to implement your mods. Could you tell me everything that was done? This would compete against a Honda ruckus at top speed. Also if you have links to share I would appreciate it. Thanks again for the great vids!
@@TheBilikenThanks! I have more videos coming out with this bike. Actually got it to run even faster! With this video so far, it's pretty much just what you said. jet kit, low-speed jet, emulsion tube, and 35 jet, header pipe, high flow air filter, and 40 tooth sprocket. I think I added the links to all this stuff in the description of the last three videos.
Did you have to put in the 18lb valve springs or just bypassed the governor still? I have heard that if you don’t change to 18lb valve springs you would get valve float and issues?
