If you have been to princess auto or tractor supply store you may be curious amount some of the new 400cc utv machines they have brought out over the past few years. Mossimo, Coleman, Cub Cadet, all have re-branded HISUN units in their fleets. With solid build quality and low price this maybe the right step to getting into the market. If you like my video on the Coleman Outfitter UT 400 / Hisun HS400 please subscribe!

My wife was complaining about how ours was running rough and bucking. Found out she was not wearing her seat belt. Thanks for solving our problem for us - we were not aware of that issue.

I have a 2021 Hisun HS400 we purchased from a Hisun dealer in Hayden, Idaho and it is exactly like this Coleman UT400 feature for feature. Only difference is, ours is camo green. Not a toy. We've been using it on our farm and for hunting. Love the smaller size to get around most places where our 4-wheeler ATV could go... and the smaller price. I've had mine up to 50 mph. Well made, good quality!

They are a decent priced utv and Tractor Supply Co. stocks them here(upstate NY). I looked at them many times!! However, after talking to a local independent atv/utv/snowmobile repair shop, they said parts/company support are tough to get for Coleman and other "off" brands. They said usually the first year of ownership goes well, then after that, they can be problematic. I personally need a dealer/warranty support system for my first utv. I chose the Honda pioneer 700-4. It was painful to pay $14k for a utv, but I plan on having it for years and years of homestead use...

You'd think they have a "notice: seat belt must be worn in order to machine to work" taped to the seats. But, these are the kind of weird corner cutting, they'll put in a buzzer for the door not being closed (or something) but not for the seat belt which is required for normal operation.

I have the exact same model and you have to have some knowledge to work on it as it has been decent so far. I did tidy up a lot of wiring to keep it from rubbing against metal and becoming weak due to vibration. I have no clue what type of silencer to put on it that fits as the thing is kind of loud. Now I have my Coleman titled and taged so I can drive it on the local streets here like the golf carts can as I also have turf saver tires on it. When you get ready to change the oil don't force the oil plug.

I found a tube coming from the top of the what I believe is the fuel pump, that is not connected on both ends. Wondering if it has to do with the fuel indicator, Not sure if you can help,

Did you say a 'grease sert'? I'm sorry for being ignorant--I'm a 54 year old woman who has been legally blind her whole life, and I've never been able to drive. I just bought one of these so I can get around my 5 acres. I have enough eyesight to drive it safely on our flat land. I really needed that dump bed for tree limbs and yard trash. I'm also recovering from Achilles Tendon/heel bone removal surgery, a long 1.5 year recovery, still dealing with pain and swelling and I have a huge yard to take care of. Hopefully this UTV is going to make my life a lot easier! I came here on YT to find videos about this model, so learn how to do maintenance. I'm not sure what a grease sert is? How do I find them? My UTV was bought new, already assembled at Tractor Supply. I got the Black Friday deal, $2,000 off. Seems to be running well, but it has less than 4 miles on it, and it just came today, so I'm learning how to use it. Any advice is appreciated! I'm really excited to finally be able to drive something around for the first time. I learned quite a few things from you, so thank you so much for this video! I'm off to give it a go now!

Grease zerks are little fittings with a ball and spring seal you use a grease gun on to fill. They warned that often they haven't been greased when delivered so I would promptly get it done. They will be on the U-joints of the drivelines and often on other suspension joints. Perhaps the manual shows all the zerks. A flexible hose grease gun is usually needed.

I can tell you from experience, if you don’t let the engine run and warm up and if you turn it on and drive it for a short distance and turn it off. When you check your oil, it will look like there’s water in the oil. I can guarantee it. Do what the manual says and definitely let it warm up and run for a while every single time you run it.

That was a Good Solid rundown you did there..!! Yes, there are about 7-9 companies that use the Hyson brand and put their own names on them. We have the Massimo Buck 400 (a 392cc engine) that we got Straight from their facility in Texas for less than Tractor supply, even though there is one 17 miles from home. Massimo shipped it to my door several states away just for the low Low purchase price of 5,995 $ US... (plus Tax of course) they were on sale the first of 2020. Also they came in 7 different colors AND Everything and More to make it street legal IF a state was so inclined to do so,. To get a unit like this (and they are Very Sturdily built too) from ANY of the “name brand” companies it would cost between $ 15,000 - 25,000 dollars 💵 so we consider these a Very GOOD deal...!! 😎👍✅ Read more

Those who complain about a "lack of gaskets" are actually displaying their ignorance; not to imply that the reviewer is doing any but rightfully and questionably making note of "conventional wisdom"; (something more often wrong than right). The purpose and need for gaskets (or any sealant) is to "make up" for imperfections in the mechanical fit-up of components; typically two or more piece cases intended to contain fluid lubricants, etc. If the mechanical fit were perfect neither gaskets nor sealants would be necessary to seal such components. Additionally, gaskets introduce flexible junctures between case components, with the thicker the gasket(s) the more potential for relative movement. That an assembly can be made tight without the need for a gasket indicates a higher level of accuracy in the machining of that assembly's mating surfaces; and a higher level of precision in working tolerances of internal components as the inherent variability of each gasket's thickness resulting from compression during assembly does not have to be compensated for via intentionally "sloppy" fitment. Truly precision assemblies rarely employ gaskets (especially "rubber" gaskets)--with the presence of same actually being an indication of, and compensation for, less precise machining...
@cantechvideos5701
@cantechvideos5701 3 года назад
Thank you for the insight! With the amount of gasket compound on the external housing I'm not sure precision machinery was in the lexicon with this build. However it's good to know this process is not flawed in a well built application!
