After my first video (Part 1: Removing the ABS), here is a video of how I got my Coleman pop-up roof prepped and ready for the grizzly grip application. We filled holes with expanding foam filler, did lots of bondo work to smooth out imperfections and cracks, and lots of sanding. Hope this is helpful!

Hi! Thank you for your very helpful videos! I was wondering if you could share which type of bondo you used and about how much you used?

Hi there. We used the Bondo brand regular "body filler" from Home Depot. I can't be sure, but it was I believe the 1lb 12oz size and I'm pretty sure we ended up using 2 of them for our project. www.homedepot.com/p/Bondo-12-fl-oz-Lightweight-Body-Filler-PN0262/202077782

Just because you mix that much bondo, it doesn’t mean you have to apply it all. Start with smaller amounts and smooth it out. A lot less sanding. Good luck!

Really, really appreciate your videos, have a 1996 that I am doing this next week - mid June 2024. Couple of questions, what expanding foam filler did you use if you remember?? I have a lot of screw holes to fill. How is the roof holding up this past year? Did you re-mount an awning? and if so how is it holding on. One last thing. I see in the Stores "Bondo Glass" with Short Strand reinforced fiberglass filler. I wonder if this would give you the strong cover same as "classic" bondo?? Really appreciate any help. I don't recall which foam filler we used, but it was a pretty basic type. It's worked great so far! But it really expands so you have to scrape what ends up creeping outside where you want it to. Roof has held up really well, although it sinks in the middle some. We did get some hail damage that put holes in my pretty new roof, but I ordered more grizzly grip and just filled them in. I did not re-mount an awning so can't advise on that.

Was your roof still sticky at all before applying the grizzly?

Hi! I have a 1998 Seapine. How has the Grizzly Grip held up? A lot of posts about it eating away the foam! Thank you!

Hi there. It has held up so far! It looks really good and has held up these 9 months so far. I did tarp it over the winter.
