I’ve never gotten it on my lips but any bleaching should never be on gums or lips . always be careful with bleaching. I’ve never recommended any bleaching OTC until this.
Thanks getting ready to try it. I am thinking about getting the 18 I have left pulled, I am losing bone and you can tell in my teeth also. My teeth are getting really thin. Thin teeth with no enamel can be sensitive to bleaching. Without looking at you I’m not sure? Pegs in gums sound like implants? Ask your dentist what he thinks.
honestly if you want me as a hygienist to be honest, I’ve never thought about it lol. So the point of bleaching is to whiten teeth without something interfering. a retainer would interfere. but if it’s completely dry I’d think it would be ok. but since it’s an overnight one I don’t know. I think I’d be nervous it could interfere.
The trays are quicker. Pen is good for a cheaper expense. Colgate optic white rinse is good if you have a long time to wait . I use this in my water pik daily to freshen teeth and prevent stain. Avoiding tea, coffee, red wine , sodas will let it last longer.
If you drink sodas, coffee, tea, smoke etc those make you do it more often. Some people can bleach once a year but some every 6 mo. Some who don’t do predisposing factors go longer.
