MY heart goes out to ppl in life that do certain videos etc in order to help others, & all others can do is repay in sarcasm & negative comments, they should all be ashamed of themselves, but clearly arnt & therefor carry on in life ridiculing others for their own amusement.
I am very grateful this clip is still up. I had never seen it. I started getting bags about 3 - 4 yrs. ago. This last year and a half they became so nasty l began canceling seeing friends, shopping, etc. With my age, (69f), being disabled and dealing with clinical depression l was becoming a recluse. My record for not leaving the house was three months. My 25 y/o granddaughter saw a pic l had for a new passport and asked if the old lady was an aunt she hadn't met. Sobbing, gnashing of teeth... So.......enter your video after depressively typing in a search. THANK YOU!!! I'm sorry. I am not shouting, just excited and grateful as hell!! I can't believe the difference in how l look! I was honestly going to cancel my next trip to France and Italy due to how l felt about my looks. Not now. I am already planning my wardrobe for it!! Thank you for helping me in my struggles. Feeling "not so ugly" has lifted me out of the worst of depression to a point where with my meds l can handle it okay. Sorry for rambling, l wanted to let you know you make a difference for people.❤

You're so kind!!! I've had bags under my eyes since I was a child. Every ENT tells me it's my sinuses, but every ENT also says they can't do surgery because there is drainage. When I cry, they get worse. You're absolutely correct in saying that it turns into a self-esteem issue. Thank you so much for this encouraging video. I'm off to experiment! Oh and to those who are being so ugly. I might disagree with homosexuality, but that gives me no right to be hateful. No wonder liberals think we conservatives are phobic. Amen to that! So many people, womens esp. talk and talk about nothing impt and you keep FFWD to get to the real subject. Blah, blah, blah. This video was just actual instruction, then repeated and reinforced the shadow area only point. That really helped me.
I watched this years ago, but it just popped up in my recommended videos right now and I just had to stop by and say thank you!!! This has truly been life changing, Wayne. I was born with under eyes bags creating that deep shadow and throughout my teens and twenties I had no idea I was making it look even worse by brightening the entire area with fair concealer. I was highlighting my biggest flaw. Since I learned this, I apply a cool pale pink corrector only in the shadow and I make sure not to move it outside the shadow. Then I use a powder or powder foundation over the entire area. I don't like adding any more liquid or cream concealer as to not disturb the hidden shadow. It's given me so much confidence, thank you!
I am 48 now, I've always had fatty deposits/bags under my eyes and I've literally stopped wearing makeup because nothing I ever did would diminish them... This insanely simple trick is totally amazing ! Thank you SO much !

You're a lifesaver! Im an oral surgery assistant for the army and the hours are long. I look so tired most of the time even when I'm not working. Wow this is amazing! I have struggled with this my entire life passed down from my mother. It's always bothered me to the point where I was ready to get some cosmetic surgery done but my partner talked me out of it so I continued on being depressed over it until now! Found this today, a dark and rainy Sunday. I have NEVER watched a makeup video but was well-impressed by this. Tried it just now and IT WORKS! This video has helped me so much I have always been self conscience about my under bags, since I started wearing contacts they've gotten bigger I've tried the ice under the eyes it only helped me for just a little bit I guess my eyes got use to it so it didn't have as much as affect in the beginning. But with this tip it's much better!

Good gosh. Why the nasty critiques? I've learned a lot from him. Anyway, I do have a question for you - the bags under my eyes look like they've been packed for a long trip. Despite the fact I get enough sleep I still have very puffy eyes (I am over the age of 50, but my eyes don't have any wrinkles). You say to use concealer that is 2 shades lighter than my skin, but I'm already fair-skinned and cannot find a concealer two shades lighter. What do you suggest? Thanks for your help. :)
That is a great tip that I've shared with *many* friends who have under-eye puffiness/bags. I don't have puffiness or bags, but I *do* have 'trenches'...under eye circles that are purple'ish. They make me look 10 years older and my self-esteem is already bordering non-existent, so I'd LOVE a tip for those trenches/circles. I've tried many different methods, none of them have worked. :(

I am a recent subscriber and I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos and your forthright, no-nonsense delivery along with your wealth of knowledge on beauty and makeup artistry. I LOVE this "trick" on brushing concealer into the shadow rather than on top. I don't know why I never thought about that. But I really wanted to address the link above, the one about being lied to. I believe that you have just offered an explanation of the unexplainable to me! I have also noticed many times how some RU-vidrs will present with improbably flawless complexions after applying makeup that I know can not achieve those miracle results. Because...dimensions. Texture. The laws of nature and physics. 😂 I am actually relieved to have this as a possible explanation. With deep fakes being a thing, I suppose this should be the least surprising development these days, lol. Lastly, I wanted to say that while I saw what you meant about the strong lights sort of washing out some of your complexion irregularities, I actually thought that you looked better in the natural light. Makeup and beautifying with cosmetics is fun and wonderful, but you are at least as striking in natural light as when you are in the pretty lights. I do, however, appreciate your honesty and willingness to share your secrets, tricks, hacks...w/e you want to call them, because it really does make me feel better about being unable to even come close to some of the results I have seen these beauty gurus achieve with mere drugstore cosmetics sometimes. OMG thank you. I have sleep deprivation so I may get 2 hours of sleep at night, the most of every get is 4. This all started when I was in my late twenties I worked a lot, I slept very little and now I sleep a whole lot less. Remember older women we didn't have all these brushes we did it with their hands anyway to teach us how to acclimate from hand to brush doing Foundation? The more I watch you the more I fall in love with you. After 60 years of wearing eyeglasses due to near-sightedness, I had cataract surgery in both eyes. Suddenly I did not need to wear eyeglasses and was shocked to see the bags under my eyes! Thank you for sharing this simple and miraculous make up trick. You are beautiful. 😊

I have always hated concealer under my eyes because I think it ages my eyes, I really look forward to trying this to see if it works as well on me....thanks for the tip.
This is a very smart and excellent use of concealer used only in the 'shadow' that a puffy eye bag creates. Thank you for the excellent video, it's something that's so easy to do and when it's done correctly, the bags won't be even more pronounced as they sometime are with concealers.
The thumbnail image is a before/after comparison of a woman's face- thats what i want and expected to see. This is a classic bait and switch; if I wanted to see you making up yourself I would have looked for that, but apparently this is the only way to get viewers hooked into looking. Or didn't you actually do the makeup in the teaser image ? Not a remarkable change.

I love watching your videos! I love that you Cover so many things! I am a man who is very self-conscious about the bags under my eyes! I am 37! After watching this I finally understand where I need to put the concealer! I love watching your videos and learning new things all the time! I use Bare Minerals right now but I am looking for some advice on some make up that’s a decent price and also some advice on if I should just use a wet sponge or some brushes to apply liquid foundation!

And there's a possibility you could have allergies try some Flonase or some Zyrtec before you go to bed. Taking less salt and alcohol. It could even be your diet start testing these the stuff out...I know that if you eat a lot of salt and you retain water easily if you're laying down it can feel in your head and cause your eyes to be puffy. You could also try sleeping on pillows a bit higher or raise the front of your bed up so you're not sleeping flat... Just some ideas I know it's kind of late really late lol
