"before you get rid of your rights, use all your rights.." - Killer Mike that's the most epic quote.

Hearing either of these two guys speak always makes me feel like I dont do enough to educate myself

As a black leaning left democrat, I have to say this has been very educational and this honestly is making me rethink a lot of things politically

I live in the mountains of GA , I was taught : there is only one winner- and the police are 45 minutes away. These two gentlemen are welcome in my home anytime, they are in the words of my grandparents - good folks.

“The minute someone decides they want to take my life they lost the right to a fair fight”. 💯

As a 48 year old Southern white man a 5th generation Texan listening to the both of you talk you have my vote we need people like ya'll in charge of this country God-bless The both of you

"In Wakanda, they all had guns." That made me spit my coffee out from laughing so hard. Great interview. As a Native American... whose people are still experiencing cantonment camp and apartheid-like conditions still in 2022, EVERY AMERICAN (black, white, brown, or whatever color palette) needs to understand that politicians are in the business of using identity politics to push Balkanization to ensure the continuance of the plutocracy in this country. Mike alluded to something really profound... a simple conversation with someone who looks different will make you realize we all have more in common than what politicians or the spin doctor media would have us believe. Why? Because the plutocrats behind their political puppets in office CANNOT have us, WE THE PEOPLE, united and getting along because it removes their ability to distract us from the real issues they are creating for everyone. Politicians are in the business of distracting and spinning narratives given to them by dark money donors that keep them in office for decades and decades. And FOR ANY anti-gun, woke liberal with a technology-induced, dopamine-saturated brain out there... drive your electric car to a reservation, walk around in your Birkenstock sandals and Patagonia apparel while sippin' on your Starbucks mocha-frappé-who-cares, and tell me how great government control has worked for the betterment of an entire race of people. Your argument that we should trust a central government to protect us and have our best interests in mind is invalid. //full stop// I'll use what rights I have left to protect against constitutional usurpation of the others. If you enjoy individual liberty and freedom... as Mike said, "before giving away your rights... use all of them first." A government that fears reprisal from its citizens has a harder time committing tyranny. Our constitution does not grant us any rights. Our constitutions is a document that tells the government what limited power it has when dealing with the rights we are born with. I'll end with this well-known parable: If you put a frog in a pot of boiling water it will instantly leap out. But if you put it in a pot filled with pleasantly tepid water and gradually heat it, the frog will remain in the water until it boils to death. While it is nearly impossible for a central government to instantly remove a right, when it erodes that right over a long period of time... it becomes harder and harder to defend and keep.

"More black people should be owning guns, More people should be training" - truer words have never been spoken

I have no idea who “Killer Mike” is, but this man is NO slouch when it comes to knowing history.

The fact that Mike hasn’t attempted to get into office at some level, whether it be local, state or federal, is a shame. His intelligence is on anthr level, he beams positivity & has so much insight into all spectrums of life.

Big respect to Killer Mike and his wife for standing up for his son, my parents did that for me when I was a kid and told my teacher to fuck off when she tried to say I needed ADD meds.

As a black man who grew up in the hood in Houston Texas I must say I am so proud of the words that came out of these brothers mouth!!! I didn’t grow up in a gun family because it was looked at in a negative light because that’s the narrative pushed. But when I started learning about the history of gun laws and my people I learned a big segment of the black history I thought I knew was missing. We are Americans I love my country and I love my 1st amendment and I will use it to protect my 2nd amendment. I love how Mike brought up the conversation his Hellcat brought about because my interest in things considered “Not Black” has brought me friends from all walks of life because I learned we are not as different as I was told.i will keep sharing this video on all platforms

Every time I see a black man at the range or a gun show, I silently applaud in my head. I would love if we as a society would not look at a black man with a gun as a threat, but just another American exercising their right to freedom.

Killer Mike making more sense than almost any politician on the scene today.

Yamamoto, as WWll began, once said "The problem with invading the United States, is that there is a gun behind every blade of grass". Doesn't that say it all? What else do we need to hear?

I have never. Never ever, ever ever... ever ever in my 38 years of life been this glued to a dialog like I have been with this one. Understanding that this video has some age, but this needs a resurgence in 2020... Not because of any upcoming elections, but because we’re living in a world that is incapable of understanding any position outside of the political box you’ve been painted in. Straight up, Mike and Colion are national treasures. I would challenge my left and right friends to watch this - an insane amount of bases were covered in this... We’re talking history,, progressivism, white privilege, dual-party hypocrisy, tyranny, and so on and so forth. You two hit on uncomfortable topics that make people squirm if it isn’t in their party’s list. It kills me as a 2A supporter that I have to vote for Biden - but as a human being, I’m okay with it in the short term. I think people need to see this dialog to understand that everything isn’t an either/or discussion, dialog should be open and encouraged. If we can open up the lines of empathy and understanding, we can get somewhere as a collective society. I wish Netflix would just run this - we could make massive strides for understanding so quick.

Speaking as a white guy gun owner, I ALSO keep my hands on the wheel and talk to the officer without any sort of confrontation. But you guys are even in a worse situation in many areas. Many of us are with you. Believe me.

This guy won me over when he said he told his kids: "If you walk out of that school you can walk out of my house."

I'm glad they talk and call each other on bad days. They may not agree on everything, but good friends don't need to. Them talking on bad days is so healthy. You can't understand certain things without living it, and having people in your life that truely get your situation is a powerful thing. I live with chronic pain every day. My neighbor does too. My wife sees my pain and has sympathy, but he understands my pain... Thanks to both for sharing this conversation. Just as important in 2024 as it was 6 years ago.

As a black American, I was always under the impression guns were a moral decision. I’ve come to realize it’s not an issue of morality,but rather a human rights issue. Good stuff guys

Colion and killer Mike, this is message from a white man. I was so awe inspired by this video! I grew up in a racist community, to believe in stereotypes, I believed all colors of skin except for white were the minorities and less than equal. I eventually grew and decided to serve my country as a United States Marine. I had never had the privilege of such a diversity of different cultures, I had many black men in my platoon, I felt very uncomfortable with this situation. One day I had a black man question me why I thought I was better than him, and of course I gave the usual racist response, because we are the dominant race. This man smiled and said " that's pretty sad, maybe you should study culture!? I pondered this for a while and realized he hadn't so much as glanced in my direction and had completely separated himself from me. No words from his part were negative. Now came the time for me to confront him about his attitude. When I asked him what his deal was, he simply responded, " THE COLOR OF THE BLOOD, RUNS THE SAME". it didn't take long to see that I was the one who who was holding him back. This man of honor taught me the most valuable lesson in life. In short, one of the greatest holidays I have ever had was spent in one of Los Angeles so called worst neighborhoods. I learned to trust in my new brother. One person can make a difference, and at the time he was more of man and a human being than I ever could have been. Just remember the blood runs the same, we are a nation if we stand together. All lives are precious and we shall defend them together against a tyrannical government.

You couldn't be more right about the 'spill over effect'. I am going through that now and it's very enlightening and empowering. I am like a whole new, and yes, self-reliant man.

Colin as a Mexican American I salute you and your work to keep the 2nd Amendment alive. I live in California, I don’t want the rest of the country to follow what California has done with its gun laws. Minorities seem to be the most ignorant people about guns who are for gun control and it pisses me off. People who don’t know about guns shouldn’t be qualified to make policy about them.

I would happily vote for both men into public office. That was a well spoken, non-partisan conversation.

I just purchased my first firearm this year and I can honestly say I feel my home is a lot safer now with one than without one. I know if someone were to come into my home where my children lay their head, that I would be able to protect them even more.

So I just watched the entire video. It was so powerful to see 2 conscious brother's have a meaningful discussion on facts. Yes the Parkland shooting was tragic. But let me tell you that weekend I went to the gun range to buy my AR-15(Rick James). There were old, young, white,asian, Hispanic and black people in there.We all were there to either buy a gun or take a class or shoot. The different races were so nice to me we talked and laughed. We all felt bad for what happened. But it brought us together with one common goal to protect ourselves and our families, be safe. I have never felt that much love from strangers and it was at the gun range!

Love these two young men. Thank you, my American brothers, we need you.

My family is from Jamaica and my dad just became a citizen and I have argued with people that if the US is so bad then why are there so many of us from other countries trying to come here?
