Well she is a Graphic Designer by trade... and she used to train with Chris Do one of the biggest names in the industry so.... yeah. You could trust her with that ;)
Damn, been a minute, glad to see her back. Also, maybe Bobby would be in a better position to judge the look of the vaults if he wasn't literally wearing rose-tinted glasses. Like, you're not John Lennon.
These look so dope. Not sure why Kickstarter is always to the go-to. I feel like the fees from using Kickstarter could be better spent on marketing and advertising, or sending samples to established content creators like Dimension 20 or Critical Role. There's definitely a better market within those communities to absorb, rather than just trying to entice Kickstarter supporters who might not already be passionate about the products you offer.
Especially right before Christmas. Seriously, if they had launched these on the website, at the beginning of November, promising delivery by Christmas...
@@boringstuff1542 It's 5% of total funds raised if it gets fully funded. Also payment processing fees of 3% + $0.20 per pledge. Pledges under $10 have a discounted micropledge fee of 5% + $0.05 per pledge
Because that is the WW way. They can't seem to figure out how to decouple their business from the constant cycle of kickstarters. I'm pretty sure WW is one bad kickstarter away from folding based on how quickly they killed SSD when it wasn't meeting expectations...
It feels weird hearing Bobby talk about color preferences when he's literally wearing rose-tinted glasses. Maybe he just wears them enough that his brain corrects for it? 🤣
Is Wyrmwood going to acknowledge the multitudes of comments on the MGT Kickstarter of unhappy customers who purchased Espresso Maple? Kind of shitty that you'll answer other questions, but skip those people entirely.
If two designs are close enough to where you could go with either one.. Always default to the one that's easier to make. Then you can very clearly visualize how different the other one is and if that effort is worth it. Always makes my decisions way easier.
Lighting, flower (chrysanthemum) water have a strong Japanese motif. Sun looks like a white mana symbol. The fractal gemstone just doesn't fit along with the others. Maybe a mountain like Mt.Fuji would tie them together.
That one with the Planets and all is super gorgeous and I'd even buy that just to keep other things in like some jewelry. I wish there was a hefty box designed to keep my really important Gameboy games in that had that type of graphical work it. Oh, oh, and invocing the great wave on the water ones was also smashing. For that it could have even gone with the japanese style of waves (think Zelda windwaker).
To me the water design doesn't really fit with the rest of the designs...they are all so intricate and the wave is kinda chunky and looks like a pictogram on a city map or something :D
Finding perfectly black Ebony is really hard nowadays, especially in the width and thickness that Wyrmwood would need for the Hexagonal Dice Vault. Something that guitar makers like Gibson do is stain the ebony black. While streaky Ebony can look really good, the expectation for a uniformly black surface warrants it as being acceptable to stain. I know Wyrmwood doesn't really do stains, but something like this may benefit from it.
ROFL!!!! you teasing us big with those dice. we gotta see those goods soon. I already got a set of dispel dice already i i hadnlt already dropped big for a DM screen i would be looking at these bad bois.
This could be due to a condition. But with Bobby always wearing lightly tinted glasses when looking at colorful designs, is his color judgement slightly skewed?
Wanna look at stuff? Yeh... Some real Napoleon Dynamite vibes here. Damn, those are some sweet dice and those vaults are gorgeous. What are you doing to me here! I really liked Foliage and Lightning, Fire was also really nice. Space is cool, and water was also neat, but at that price point I'd have to go with my faves.
We have been posting and posting that there is a bad economy and it is one of the main reason the desk project failed. Everyone is not spending money right now they are saving it. Bobby we are trying to help you and the company. You need to wait a little bit before you start doing these things again or they will not make as much money as they used to.
I mean, a small porject might do better, though. People need their joy. Splurging $100 on a new set of dice for joy is a lot easier than $3000 on a desk for... not joy. The timing relative to Christmas is still terrible, but I think a smaller, less expensive product is the way to go.
Karen!! The answer to the question - What would Dale be like as an artist? Bobby with karate reference - We now all need to know: What style did you teach? You dice tease... I hate you... Please show us more ;-)
I really like the space vault, and the second version of the geode. Not much of a fan of the rest though. I know you guys are working on a pairing between dice and vaults for this, but will there be a way to mix and match or are we going to be stuck buying both if we just like one?
Make a video that splitscreens, or however edited, of one version with a Wyrmwood table being made how it’s processed now next to the same table but crafted-by-hand. So like machine vs man.
So, for me, the lightning bolt is too thick and blocky. The gold graphics with white planets is the winner. I prefer the blue flower to the white one. I am also in the more random less gradient sun styling aka Karen sun. The wave design reminds me of "The Great wave off Kanagawa" artwork. I like it but also had a thought if it would be possible to put a very small amount of holo flake on the leading edge of the wave crests that would look like the light refracting off the foam in the wave.
Each art style is SO different they don't even feel part of the same launch. But that's a GOOD thing. If you did one art style with minor elemental differences people wouldn't buy if they disliked the art style. Now there's a style for everyone
Do a kickstarter in december all you want. Just don't do it with Dispel. it still sucks Karen didn't allow more pictures to be made of their dice during the kickstarter so we couldn't actually decide our picks on real world lighting conditions. Also kindly bring Twitch and Paulie back.
Not the biggest fan of the fire sun, I feel like cause you have the space one it overshadows the sun. I would have gone with a different design for the fire.
Wait, I'm confused...I literally backed Dice 2.0 last year and got forget me not dice with a forget me not vault. Clearly you've designed dice with vaults before!
