Collaborative learning can really help both the teacher and learners because it will promote leadership, self-management, and oral communication, and it will develop their higher level of thinking. As for the teachers, it allows us to explore more, think about teaching strategies differently, and learn new ideas to try in the classroom.

Wish my classroom groups were that small to have a decent moderated discussion with. Its doable but SOO much effort.

I like this method very much. I use also iPads and so the students are free in doing their work and we can see the results together, we can send the results to all and so we are sharing and collaborating and we are working successfully. I am teaching also social studies and so I like also Goal Based Learning. Both kind of teaching offer us a nice learning ambiance

I love this! I love just starting a tutoring program for students that encompasses collaborative learning! A lot of people have a hard time believing that this can work. They believe the standard style of learning is the only way. I am so glad this video exists to further strengthen the concept of this learning method.

Wow! What a magnificent way of engaging learners. That is what we need. Every teacher should try this.

I believe this method can be easily adapted for ESL methods. Thanks for this amazing resource.

These are SIMPLE processes that can be adapted ANY where. I have come to value round tables more. Going forward into the REAL jobs these kind of communication skills are essential. We are no longer training robot-like operators for big machines in the factory. These days there are temporary teams that span the globe to deliver high tech projects.

(1)Yes, indeed a wonderful school and magnificent example and way of engaging learners,...:)! I believe strongly in this path of collaborative learning but...there are still lots of cultural obstacles and so much social-scholar organization's differences over the world to overcome... to put/adapt in practice and be successful...

I totally agree with you. However, I do believe that not only the cultural backgrounds can be an obstacle in this approach, teachers need to be well-trained too. I think it can take time until a teacher who has never been introduced to this approach, gets used to how it works to successfully engage students.

This content stated clearly the benefits in collaborating. using this approach we can hear the side of each other. Conversing each other and engage group work is my favorite part.

Although I really liked this video, i fear that one student may be helping a lot with the classroom material and the others in his/her group might be waiting for him/her to solve the problem. Have you noticed any similar case?

I adore this method of incorporating the lesson with the students. In addition to following the book's directions, our partnership enables you to participate in students' daily lives.
