it looks pretty dang good... but I'd say that the appeared viscosity of the fluid seems to change from one point to another... at first it almost looks too watery and liquid and then it shifts to become too viscous looking almost like heavy cream rather than water.... if that makes sense. And then at the end everything calms so quickly there's only a few countable major waves... when all those waves should cast reflection waves and those reflection waves more reflections waves and the whole thing should be a choppy mess at the end... not a calming waters with a few major rollers. Still got a long way too go to realistically mimic very large bodies of water I think.

How does the engine calculate buoyancy?
@CGFreiburg
@CGFreiburg Год назад
There is no explict buoyancy term. We just compute pressure forces at the interface between the fluid and the ships. These interface forces act at the fluid *and* the ships which - considering the physical properties of the ships - causes them to swim.

Let's say that there's an olympic sized swimming pool per ship: 1 olympic pool = 2,500,000 litres 1 litre of water = ~1kg = ~1000g 1 olympic pool = ~2,500,000,000g 3 olympic pools = ~7,500,000,000g Molar mass of water: ~18 grams/mole ~7,500,000,000 / 18 = 416,666,666.7 moles 1 mole = 6.022 x10^23 molecules 416,666,666.7 x 6.022x10^23 = 2.5x10^32 molecules That's: 250,916,666,700,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 molecules which is 12,545,833,330,000,000,000,000,000 times as many used for this simulation. Its called "Lets pretend to be scientific" by the "ive never been outside" company. Haha. These left side brain nerds who are only good at shuffling number puzzles, and programming intangible abstract concept - like games, have no idea what being creative means, its not even possible for a left brained nerd to BE creative. They actually think these simulations represent reality. Its detached. 98% of these guys have no idea what empirical demonstration means. Im sure its fun to pretend. Thats what these guys do isnt it? Play fantasy pretendies and number puzzling on their number machine calculators to reflect what they THINK reality does? Never ever practical. When do you reckon was the last time these nerds in comments went outside? Do you think even 1% of these guys have ever even held a measuring tape, climbed a mountain, built a house, dug a ditch for a septic, held a dumpie, washed their own clothes, made their own meals? Haha. Its embarrassing how useless PC nerds are. Taking us backward while pretending to be scientists who honor empirical demonstration and the honored and trusted scientific method. Its ridiculous. They are the polar opposite of science. All these gamer PC nerds really do practice, is just scientism. Pseudoscience. Reification. Fantasy conjecture. As far from tangible as east is from west. That means it isnt science. Its just a bunch of nerd numbers. Useless. Dont expect any new groundbreaking games bro. The whole gig has been overtaken by these untalented, emotionally fueled basement geeks, who are desperate to be seen as scientists and successful programmers. Yet they have no idea what reality is. Im sure these types will destroy society over the next 2 decades. Its almost there. We have been going backward at a extreemly fast rate even over the last 5 yrs. We are being told what reality is by the lowest denominator. By inexperienced geeks who have no idea what the word SCIENCE means past pointing at numbers and intangible concept. The PC nerd. USELESS. Scientism definition. - Scientism is the RELIGION of worshipping science as a source of explanations about the universe. It is based on their FAITH that science will provide answers because Scientists have a declared an objective point of view. Believers of Scientism deny the existence of God, and instead worship pseudoscientific methods.
