I did almost an hour on collar ruffles. So. This is pretty much where I'm at with my life.

bro you have no idea I just got into marvelous designer and ofc all my characters are extra af and have ruffles for days. this is a huge help! I should be able to manhandle this into ruffled cuffs, and hopefully a ruffle/pleated shirt front. subbed, belled and shared with my uni friends xD

when I sat down to watch this I had no intention whatsoever to make the collar ruffle, yet, I've still been given loads of ideas and picked up a couple of tips I can't believe I hadn't thought about. Thank you for this.

Hi Daniel, great video, thanks for sharing your knowledge and expertise. I was wondering if you could share your specs or recommend what kind of laptops to buy or avoid or keep in mind . Any thumbrules or things you feel is important to note ? Or does any qualifying laptop work the same way ? Thanks 😊

26:30 to convert base lines to internal lines you can use the Trace tool 'I' and Trace as Internal Line. I thought you pointed that out if you not you pointed me in the right direction.

When I simulate the collar attachment after superimposing it, I got tons of crazy collisions and it starts to intersect and tear the collar and shirt. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I've rest and retried the process along with the tut three times now.

Hi Daniel, this is amazingly beautiful collar ruffle, actually it looks far way better than reference picture. I have a quick question- 48:06 you added internal lines for the hem. What exactly are they doing? Do internal lines affect clothes when you just draw?
@gyrfalcon23

Internal lines force vertices to be made along the line even if they aren't attached to anything, which makes the fabric fold better along the internal line

Hi Daniel, haven't seen you stream in a while. But I was wondering if you're interested in any cloth-based design besides clothes. In order to save plastic bags, a store near my house has started selling re-usable bags made out of a tent-like material (not sure what it's called.). While the material itself is durable, the placement of the seam at the very top of each handle (imagine any grocery bag) makes it prone to weakness / tearing at the seam, rendering the bag un-usable. If you're interested in design such as this, I'd love to get your take on it in a video or live stream, including a proposed re-design. Feel free to reach out if interested.

Hm, I don't have the shirring options at all in my panel.

Shirring seems to only exist on the ULTRA EXPENSIVE version called CLO3D.,

Shirring does NOT exist in marvelous designer. this is a Clo3D only feature.
