Thank you so much for doing this! With this whole Covid-19 situation, a lot of people are trying to learn how to create things to make their remote work easier and organized. I was going to do a very bare-bones spreadsheet but wanted to push myself to learn something new. You explained everything clearly and made me feel at ease with the process. Truly, thanks a bunch!! 🤗💐
I have a question. I have 7 rows (day of the week) and 3 columns (three different weeks). When opening the data in a spreadsheet it does not differentiate between the data in column 1, 2 and 3. It lumps them all together on one row. How do I get a separate response for each column? Thanks!
This was really very helpful! Thank you very much for sharing this. For some reason, I could not view the excel spread sheet where the responses go. Please teach where to find it. Thank you.
Thank you for this. Is there any way to format how the data appears on the Google Sheet? For example, the answers I send through my Form show up on the Sheet as Arial font, size 10. I'd like the font to automatically be larger for staff accessibility. Is that possible?
Hi! Is there any way of gathering data from Google Slides? I want my students to fill in a kid of pdf form and gather the PDFs. Is it possible? Thank you!!!
This was so helpful. I run an Influencer Marketing agency and I have been looking for a sign-up form for those that are interested in working with my company. This helped a lot, thank you so much for sharing.
Hello, my supervisor shared a google sheet with me a couple of weeks ago with the form linked to it. He asked me to update the responses on the sheet as more people have filled out the form since then. I asked for access but he said I do have access as the google form is linked on the sheet. However when I click on edit form it says on the bottom request edit access and when I click on show summary of responses it's locked and says I need access. Is there a way that I can extract the data from the form (that he created) so I can populate the spreadsheet with the most recently submitted answers?
@@ProlificOaktree Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! When he does grant me permission would I just click on form --> show summary of responses and then pull the updated data? I've never done this on a Google form that I didn't create
Does this forms automatically create an excel file for the master list of a survey or registration forms? Or I have to create new form under google account?
is there a way it will automatically capture the employee's email? how can we recover the data that were accidentally deleted while retaining the new entries?
I created the report, but I erased it, and when I try to view it, the system does not allow me to do it. Is there a way to create again the report, after deleting the previous one? Thanks in advance.
@@ProlificOaktree thanks for the answer. The problem is that I also deleted from the trash :( If you know any other options I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
@@martinafanador3859 If you're in an organization account, contact your admin ASAP. The files will be gone in 20 days. If you're in your own account, the file's probably gone.
@@martinafanador3859 hello friend I just had the same problem happen to me yesterday hhhhh and spent 3 hours refilling a new questionnaire with the answers I got from people on the first one I only did 50 so far and there are over 100 answers left😢 I'm struggling with it now
How can you transfer data from a google form ( survey) to google sheets, but instead pie data, display numbers. For instance, how many people said yes or no to certain answers.
@@ProlificOaktree I was asking more about Pivot. I am having trouble doing Pivot. Is it because I have many questions in my survey that are long and not just a yes and a no? If I want to pivot the edit asks for names. I just want to have the questions and a tally of the answers, yes, no maybe.
I have, but I think there are limitations. It will not allow me to do certain functions. Like only the questions and then just the simple answer. For example, do you like bananas? Yes, no maybe. It will allow only one question, but when I add the next one it moves the first question and messes up the whole format.
Very useful video. Just a question, can the same respondent fill-in the form multiple times with different data? Will it still be captured in Google Sheet? I'm trying to gather info about hundreds of premises which are managed by dozens of managers. One manager might managed 10-20 premises. So, can one manager key-in the info for multiple premises?
Hey Buddy your video is very helpful Thanks for the video I have one doubt, is there anyway that when user select multiple check boxes for one question, I have to get all the answers in spread sheet into single cell by cama( ' , ' ) separated
Yes, that is how the values come into the spreadsheet when the user selects more than one checkbox, for example. One cell per questions, separated by commas if multiple answers.
Thank you. About the form-in-an-email function... If the recipient has email other than Google Mail, does this function work? It is dependent upon recipients being Google account holders?
No, the surveys can be sent to any email address and the recipient does not have to have a Google account to enter data into Forms unless you chose that users can only submit one response. In order for that to work, users will have to sign in so Forms can know who they are.
I think any of the fields that allow characters would accept numbers. However, I don't see any that would limit the input to a number if that's what you're looking for. Good luck!
Thanks! 🙏 Have a potential client that wanted to know if it was possible to add a questionnaire/survey to a website, that exports data to a spread sheet. Straight forward video, Everything you want and more 👍🏼
If you used Google Forms, it has built in functionality to export to Sheets. I think it's in the area where you look at the grades. Not in Classroom but in Forms.
if you want to evaluate the given answers and be notified if someone answers "No", please have a look at the following Google Sheets Add-On: gsuite.google.com/marketplace/app/maintainapp/842811037884
