I bought a bus for Ickleton Barns, today we collect it and transport it back to site ready to have it emptied out and cleaned! Same video, with quiter music • Collecting my 1967 Ley... Follow up video! • Update on my 1967 Leyl...
Old Leyland pd2 my late uncle drove these buses with Merthyr Tydfil transport was hard work driving them in the valleys with no power steering but were good old buses
I went to school on it when it was brand new. Apart from the E registration it looked exactly like the older ones. Stockport Corporation also had a 1969 one which was front entrance with automatic folding doors. Very rare.
Really nice to see this. I used to catch one the same to school in Warrington. We all preferred the open platform because the school was near a 'T' junction half way between stops, so we all used to hop off there. 🙂
New to Stockport corporation in 1967. It was transferred to SELNEC, Southern division, when the PTE was created and allocated to Tameside depot. Later, with a Manchester driver training school and then a travellers home.
@High Path JA was the identifier for Stockport Manchester were NA to NF, VM, VR, VU, XJ. At that time Stockport was in Cheshire and Manchester was Lancashire. All changed with the 1974 government reorganisation and the formation of Greater Manchester. SELNEC became the GMPTE.
The glitter lady inside the luurrve bus at last night’s corporate event was absolutely genius! Epic #riversidebarns #bestnightever #letsgetthisviral 👌💃🙌
That looks a wonderful place to start a collection and again sure diff agan but the date is a sure one so i could not drom them i never popped out then asambed though😢😮
I also passed my test in 1965 on a 1947 model from Nottingham. Baseford Transport driving school. Has this one got a crash box.? it seems earlier than 1967.
It’s an East Lancs body and is similar to several batches of St.Helens fronted PD3’s delivered to Leicester City Transport up until late 1967 on ‘F’ plates.
@@johnwakefield2083 I cannot remember, were Stockport one of the towns that demanded the PD2 (simple, less new systems than the (Heavier?) PD3 ) for as long as possible ?
@@johnwakefield2083 Selnec Orange/White. like Cardiffs White/Orange (that CK also used !) doesn really suit half cabs. East Lancs were in Blackburn? ( mainly , they acquired another co too so what site was it assembled on ?)
Check out tonight’s instalment …. Quieter less offensive music and my mic is turned up..!!! It’s all a learning curve ..! Thanks for your comment though
Smells like an old persons bedroom ? Thats not a nice thing to say, because one as got older it dose not mean we are not able to keep ourselves and where we live clean so i think maybe you should choose your words a bit more carefully.
@@tonylancaster8704 I love the smell of my farts in the morning. Take a chill pill mate. When I get offended I just shrug it off as life is to short. However bullying is another matter and shouldn't be tolerated.
Wow what a nice looking Bus , if restoring l would do it in sections don't rush it take your time 😁😁 Do you follow Pete and his Bus , there are some good episodes on it 😁😁
