Good to see a handsome bus being given a new lease of life. It would be good to have the destination and number display at the front restored. The kids would enjoy turning the handle to change the numbers. When the time come please consider repainting the bus it it’s old Stockport colours of red and off white.
The only buses that had single skin rooves were the wartime utility bodies. Postwar even some of them got the inner skin fitted , The framing for post war was never meant to be exposed, but your bus, your take on it as it is better than being chopped into scrap.
Bus roof - if it gets hot, open the windows. With all those sleepers dont you get the urge to get a minature railway (12in guage or similar) running around the perimeter ? (one big sleeper = 2 or 3 suitable for minature guage)
@@lewisbower2137 Have you tried insurance through The Showman's Guild ( a diesel (normally petrol) loco rather than steam can be reasonable ). Might be cheaper than Market Traders Insurance.
Next step is to buy two more buses and fuse them into a quad Decker to be bigger and better than the harry potter night bus and therefore make it into whatever your wonderful head can create!!
