Very impressive collection of 45s, I have what I would call a lot but not nearly the amount you have. I was interested in your cleaning process. I have been cleaning my albums that I have had since the 60s and now I thought I would clean my 45s. Have a kit similar to what you used and will definitely give it a shot. I am not an audiophile but like you just like the music and memories! Take care.
Glad you watched and enjoyed. I am now up to about 400 45’s and love every minute of them. What would old music be without a few pops. Thanks for watching!
I would bet the popular mainstream songs, well you hear them all over, so when they show up they aren't so special. But when an obscure song comes on, man that's special, and I bet people swarm to listen to those. Anyway, thats what I think probably happens. When you get the viral 1 million view Tic Tok, I know you probably will be surprised which song it is. Nice Video!
People would bring their 45’s to parties, so they wrote their names on them so they would not get their records mixed up with others who brought records
The 45s of my youth have my name because we could take them to choir once in a while or haul them to a friends house. Don’t want to loose them, paid almost a dollar for it. Thanks for the view
What I do with my 45s is record them using a HIFI VCR onto a VHS tape. I then play the tape when I'm working in the garadge or around the house. The tapes are cheap and the machines are cheap. The audio quality is great on these VCRs and I can get 6hrs of music on one tape. It's basically a poor mans real to real. It's prity easy using the remote on the VCR to record the 45s.
That’s an interestingly no idea. Tapes are plentiful at yard sales but the VCRs are getting further between. If I want to enjoy a record, I will play my vinyl. If I want music to work by or pool by, I will use a playlist on apple to make it easy. I differentiate my enjoyment listens to background listens. Love the idea though. Thanks for the view
45s are my babies. I have over 3300. All alphabetical in plastic slip covers. Many are imports I bought many years ago from many European countries. I built my own storage rack for them because I couldn't find anything I liked and Etsy had some for $3000. It cost me just under $200 made out of real wood.
Hey, Thanks for the watch. I would love to see what you built. I just bought 50 more and I can't keep track of them for nothing. I buy the same ones over again. I guess I like what I like. I am not far from 3300, but they keep growing.
