I NEEDED to hear this song today, and this is so beautiful, pure, and powerful...just amazing! I don't know how anyone who even likes Collective Soul couldn't LOVE this, let alone there be 16 dislikes! Negativity i will never understand...let YOUR light shine ♡
I've been humming and singing this all day...this is the BEST version of the song by car...a timeless classic. The 4 people who disliked this were all Justin Beiber fans!
I knight this as one of the top one hundred songs of all time. It speaks on so many levels. They perform a flawless song with no setbacks. No cover song comes close. That is truly great. This, is truly great. Am I wrong?
Love the Georgia musicians! hard to believe they released this on their first cd in 1991, and hearing it acoustically... this song could come out today, 20 years later and be a hit. That's real music that transcends time.
Watching Collective SOul live videos never gets old! Ed and the boys always bring so much soul and energy and they hit EVERY note! Simply incredible muscicians! I am proud to say my first concert was a Collective Soul show!
I have listened to both collective soul and pearl jam for quite some time now and this is the first time I have noticed a resemblance in the lead singer's voices.
Not if your likening it as an influence, on Roland's part; Collective Soul and Pearl Jam came out within a year or so of one another, and at that time Roland was already in his late twenties, having along ago established his songwriting influences that were there to write his first album (which of course featured this song).
Just one of those songs that can be done in accustic and sound as good as in a recording booth. If you really listen this song has more meaning than the obvious.
Awesome!! SHINE ON US LORD!! Great performance!! I Love their video called "Music in high places" All their best songs done acousticly on the streets of Marakesh..
I got tickets to see them in Indianapolis this Sept at an outdoor event at Military Park(cannot wait to see them). That vid just shows what a couple of "Good Musicians" and a just a couple of guitars can do.That was an excellent unplugged piece. Since Ross Childress (lead guitar and vocals) not paying with them is a major loss though.
Love that he killed that solo on acoustic instead of writing something easier for acoustic. That's awesome. Makes me love Collective Soul that much more.
every time i watch one of their song played acousticly, he still rocks the solo and i love it. most bands wont play the guitar solo if its an acoustic cover but he still shreads the fuck out of it
