hii! i see in your latest videos you're talking about starting your sustainability journey which I'm really happy about :) as someone with a really low budget for clothes who loves fashion and is really trying to be sustainable here are some things i've learned and try to be conscious about, in case it speaks to you or you find it useful. First, i know it's not always accessible to be sustainable with a low budget, there are not many options for affordable sustainable clothes other than thrifting, which I find is also not accessible to everyone (it takes lots of time, depending on where you live it may or may not be an option). So what I've implemented that works for me is to try and be as sustainable as possible in every choice i make basically. That's very vague but what i mean is for example, if I feel like i need to buy something my first step is to think if I already own something similar or that i can rework to achieve the same effect or functionality. If not, I try finding something on sale from brands as sustainable as possible that are still in my budget range. If that's also not possible, I do look in fast fashion brands but always always keeping in mind the quality, how much this will last, for the pieces to be as versatile as possible with my wardrobe and also wearing it in different ways, etc. I think now that sustainability has become "trendy", people are so quick to shame you for not being sustainable enough, even if you're trying, without taking a moment to evaluate that not everything is accesible to everyone. For me, what's important is to really make my effort and do baby steps, and rather implement something that I will always be able to do and to be sustainable in ways thar actually work for me, instead of trying to be the most sustainable or trying to label anything as sustainable even if it not necessarily is, just so I don't get shame. Like, it's okay if you occasionally shop somewhere that is not sustainable or that's just greenwashing if that's what's accessible to you at the moment and if you're really putting your thought and efforts into it, but doing it honestly and not trying to just convince yourself that it's sustainable is important. Be conscious that even though the brand may not be sustainable you try to shop there in a way that's sustaiable for you. That way, if you're doing your constant effort, constantly trying to be better, even if people can't see that you can still be sure that you're doing the right thing for you and don't need the validation from other people. I hope you continue your journey in ways that work for you and you really try to make that effort :) it feels really good to know you're really trying your best with your efforts and you're contributing what you can
