The fact that you included example pics of such a diverse group of people made me so happy. It really shows that beauty and style aren't connected to one's body, but to the way they celebrate and "accessorise" it ✨

@@ivo004 There isn’t a place in the fashion world for fatphobia in this progressive day and age. The majority of models we’re used to seeing are skinny as sticks because they starve themselves sometimes to death. What fatphobic people like you don’t take into account is how long it takes for people to lose weight and how long it takes for weight loss to even show. I’d much rather someone lose weight at a healthy pace that they can maintain than starve themselves because of people like you. People who are overweight and are trying to lose weight don’t need people like you shaming them and saying that they aren’t worthy of fashion because they’re not skinny. You’re absolutely disgusting. A person’s weight is no one’s business except theirs and their doctor. How do you know they aren’t healthy? They aren’t your patient. Some plus sized models have said that they’re the happiest they’ve been at the size they’re at because they’re healing their relationship with food. No one is saying morbid obesity is healthy. Absolutely no one has ever said that. The plus sized models we see aren’t morbidly obese. We don’t know their health from looking at them. You just hate fat people.

100% this. If I walk by someone who has clearly put real effort into their outfit, even if I personally dislike everything they're wearing, I still think they look stylish and cool. It's the confidence to stand out, or even just the confidence to admit to everyone who sees you that you care about something.

I think effortless can also mean it looks like you wear it easily, even if you put a lot of thought and time i to the look. For example: the fit is crisp but not too tight or uncomfortable looking, you don't need to always pull tug and adjust as you move, the outfit is conducive to your natural activities, and you appear at ease and at home and to feel yourself in it.

For me, stylish is the intentionality. It's wearing whatever you think looks good, regardless of what is considered appropriate/trendy and sticking to it. Because the default is boring. Like, for example, why is sparkly clothing considered party/evening wear? It's going to shine even prettier in the sun!

I'm so glad that showing socks is a cool thing now. I remember that in the (late?) 2010s everybody was wearing very tiny "hidden" socks, so their ankles would be naked. And they would wear socks like that during winter, so I'd ask myself "aren't they cold?". I would usually wear socks that were the same colour of my shoes or pants, so they weren't noticeable, but people would still look at my socks weirdly. Now I love showing my socks and hopefully I won't stop wearing them like that. But the trend will probably go back around and people will be wearing naked ankles in the future again.

kind of playing off of the hair styling, adornment, and the alt fashion aspects: dyed hair and especially tattoos!! I love seeing people incorporate some styling element of their cultural dress in more everyday looks (I've been doing this more lately and it's so much fun!) - especially because often these can be pieces of jewellery or other accessories that have been gifted from family members or passed down to you, so it feels very personal. In general, I also really enjoy seeing indicators of someone's interests in their fit - like a keychain with a handmade plush, or a pin badge from a zine fair. When I'm out and about, what amazes me the most is seeing someone walk by who has really committed to whichever style they enjoy; seeing someone clearly putting in that effort and having that confidence always inspires me to wear whatever I want to too.
@ArtichokeHunter

I definitely enjoy these videos but the concept is pretty silly to me because it's like, if you use this element well in a well-put-together, stylish outfit, you'll look stylish. Like, layering doesn't make you instantly stylish, layering WELL does. I've seen the same thing in all the versions of this concept I've seen. It's not like a shortcut that can make anyone look stylish, it's more like symptoms/signs that a person has personal style and knows how to put together a cool outfit.

Bold or unexpected shoes speak style to me. It is why I invested in soooo many flipflops and sneakers. Now I started building my outfits starting with footwear for comfort/activity/weather, then outerwear for weather and flexibility, then tops and bottoms for surprise and to complement shoes and jackets. So many colors and textures available in sneakers. Suede, velvet, patent, stretch knots, colored soles, colored laces, sparkle, frays, zippers, slip-ons. And so many available with ARCH SUPPORTS and MEMORY FOAM which takes 10 YEARS OFF YOUR FACE when you're not in pain. 😜🥴😎❤️

My opinions on things that make you instantly stylish (all just some personal tastes I have that are a bit specific sometimes haha) -Hair! I agree that going off the default style is so stylish ~ it's almost 20% of the outfit -Tailored Clothes - not all outfits necessarily need to be fitted but clothes that fit your body specifically look so stylish and intentional -A reoccuring color detail in the outfit - a type of color that appears in the pattern that matches with your other smaller items like accessories I live for it -Dramatic sleeves - I am so in love with marie sleeves, puff sleeves and bishop sleeves especially when the sleeve cuff fits so perfectly at your wrist it's so *chefs kiss* -Monochrome outfit but is varied in textures, textiles and forms -When the shirt hits perfectly at the waistband of the jeans/pants - wearing clothing/fashion unique to your culture and country (i say as a resident in a formerly colonized country it's so easy to get swept in Western trends to lose the value of your local fashion culture) -Non-polyester fabrics especially quality natural fabrics like cotton, linen, wool, silk etc -Having perfected that one uniform/go-to outfit ~ it's not outfit repeat it's your own skin already - Wearing clothes that you've own since forever like there's a reason it stuck so long it's a part of you already and lastly is being *intentional* . Even if it's not my personal taste I always respect and appreciate other people's styling choices when it's apparent that they're intentional and have put thought and effort behind it

Feeling VERY seen by the shaped clothing! I LOVE big skirts. (Sometimes pinterest suggests me tradwife/mormon stuff and i go UH OH) but really my favorite thing about them is being able to decide what my body looks like to other ppl. If I wear a long skirt with a funky belt and a long cardigan/vest/shrug of some sort, I feel like Ive owned it. I have decided the shape that I'm going to be seen as! Victory! I'm also with you on interesting color combos. My recent thing has been playing with brightly colored tights - colors like turquoise, lilac, salmon, violet. Heck, even white tights don't get as much love as they should, I think! Little girls get put in white tights and then somewhere in there you make the switch to black tights and that's it, roll credits! I will never forget the first time I did this. I wore a black/white striped t-shirt dress with MAGENTA tights and went over to a friend's house. The person who answered the door VISIBLY immediately dropped his eyes to the tights like O.O and I am still riding that high. Other things I find stylish are a well matched watch! NOT one of the smart watches. Like, something with a band that coordinates with your color palette. Hand embroidered accents on outfits are also super stylish to me.

To me I think a big one is fun pants. It seems like the easiest outfit formulas involve basic pants and interesting tops, or even fun skirts, but it's pretty uncommon to see patterned pants or even pants in a bold color. It's an instant statement, and while I'm sure it's possible to do badly, it's not hard to make it a fun and interesting outfit.

I think customising your clothes with stuff like embroidery, replacing boring buttons with fun ones, adding ribbons, or visible mending is huuuuge!! It can add a lot of personality too. I recently got a pair of pretty basic chunky white platform sneakers and I added rainbow beads to the shoelaces, which made them instantly more of a statement piece. I also patch up holes in clothes with colourful embroidery thread, embroider flowers and stars onto clothes, use fabric paint to add designs to stuff, etc etc etc. I find people who have clearly modified their own clothes to be really stylish, because it shows a level of thought beyond "I found this at the store and wore it with other stuff I found at the store". I wouldn't recommend buying stuff just to customise it unless you're confident in what you're doing, because if you mess it up and hate it you'll never wear it and that's just more textile waste.

Here's my list of things I beleive make a person instantly stylish: -Having a style that is completely "you", one that doesnt fall into a particular trend or aestetic but is a mix of different things you personally love - Not strictly following trends/ styling "outdated" items- I really have massive respect for people who don't care what's not in style anymore and continue to wear said "outdated" items. Even bigger respect if the item is styled in a really cool way - Having a signature style of an item you wear often, be it puff sleeve tops, babydoll dresses, chunky shoes... aything that is a key element of your style and you wear in many of your outfits - Absolutely agree with you on any head accessories, they are the cherry on top - Similarly to head accessories, any interesting jewelry. Or even basic jewelry that is strategically styled - Having a perfectly color coordinated outfit, especially if said outfits includes more than 3 colors and everything is still perfectly matched - Similarly, wearing multiple bright (or generally non-neutral) colors together (but like you said with an intentional patellte in mind, not randomly thrown together). I'm lowkey jealous of people who can pull off more than one really saturated tone in an outfit. - Cool makeup, especially when people experiment with colors and/or shapes - Coats- I think any type of coat makes an outfit cooler - Layering in general- so many possibilities to elevate a look through layers, it always looks great - Similarly to your vintage point, adding elements from historical fahsion to your outfit, especially things we don't wear anymore. I especially love it when someone is inspired by styles centuries ago - Any neck accessory - collars, scarves, ties, ribbons... Edit: Also absolutely agree with your points

Gosh I love it so much that you include such a variety of people in terms of looks and body types. I myself am on the chubby side and often struggle with fashion about the lack of representation. Thanks! ❤❤❤

This is the best one Ive seen yet. I have recently had to rebuild my wardrobe after weight loss and this helped put into perspective some things I need more work on. Bolder silhouettes or contrasting design languages are probably too advanced for me until I rebuild the core fundamentals. At least shoes always fit, I am a big proponent of leather shoes/boots and accessories. They are timeless, classy, and real leather develops a rich texture with age.

This was so good! I'm trying to become more comfortable wearing things that are not 100 % boring and that might stand out a bit, and this was great inspiration. The times I've got compliments for my style are one of the times that I've been the most unsure and self-conscious of what I'm wearing.

things! that! look! used!!! my five year old scuffed worn in doc martens are one of my wardrobe staples bc docs go with everything obviously but also i love talking about how they got scuffed/all the places i've worn them! i also think diy alterations/additions are instant cool points. it kinda goes with the mixing aesthetics thing imo: what you choose to add and how you do it can say so much about who you are as a person. loved the inspo pics for this one in particular!

Yes! The all new neutrals that everyone says are key to a capsule look soulless to me and even more so when they are brand new. Love these tips.

My usual style is really colorful and varied in shapes and textures mostly but I’m starting an office job with strict dress codes, pantsuits and blazers and all. Could you do a video about styling boring office outfits plsss 🥺🥺

I agree with most of your elements to enhance style, especially layering. I have a section of my closet for what I call third layers like vests, sweaters and sheer overblouses. One thing I find stylish is the use of gloves, a rarity these days.

Thanks for this video! I am a big fan of browns, classy blacks, and sometimes greys. However, I also love reds, greens, and yellows. I think that combining those bright colors with neutral tones can make an outfit more fun!

something i love to wear that i don’t see many people talk about is corduroy pants (cords). they’re so cute and a great alternative to jeans! they come in so many different styles and colors too. they can easily be dressed up or worn casually, and they’re really comfortable. also, hair styles DEFINITELY make a difference. i can go from disliking an outfit to loving it simply by changing my hair. some outfits look much better with an updo, some look better with a half up half down style, some with braids, etc. plus, there are so many accessories you can add to your hair! bandanas, scarves, clips, barrettes, headbands, beads, scrunchies, etc.

Love all these, and agree with the many comments to items that look handmade. Going to add monochromatic outfits, either with or without one contrast point. Works both with different shades of the same colour, but also with full on single shade Monochromatic with a capital M.

Layered jewelry always does it for me. Not a ready to wear kit of gold chains that one can get at any H&M though. Gimme a mix of something brand new, something vintage and something handcrafted. Proper jewelry layering takes some thought, especially if you're a very buxom person (I am) and need to take into consideration how all those necklaces will sit on you.

I don’t usually watch these types of videos bc I tend to take other people’s style advice with a grain of salt (not trying to be rude, but I know what I like, so I don’t really need anyone else’s opinion). That said, I still watched this bc I trust Liz Beepworld. I would balance this with that advice you shared from Hannah Louise Poston about including practicality in your style. Maybe sometimes you can step out with a chic shoe or ornate jewelry, but don’t inconvenience yourself or make existence miserable for the sake of “looking stylish.” Being comfortable and confident are the biggest signs of stylishness imo. If I’m just seeing someone randomly and will probably never see them again, I think they are stylish is there is a part of their outfit that is a bit out of the ordinary or unexpected. Seeing something different is fun! (But also don’t make being different your biggest goal; if there are 7 billion people on the planet, just accept that we can all be a little bit alike.) If I’m seeing a friend who I’ve noticed over time has a particular style, I like that! I have a friend who wears a lot of paisley, likes layering her tops (she has fun over-shirts and jackets), and she incorporates Japanese elements into her style bc she is half Japanese. She also has staple jewelry pieces she wears like every day. It’s awesome, and she always looks stylish bc it’s her.

I agree with the practicality aspect from Hanna Louise Poston! And personally, for me I feel there is a fine line between looking stylish and looking like you're "trying too hard". But - that said, this video is gold and I'm taking notes, so many good ideas I want to try out with my own clothes!
