Running with a hat in the rain is very common. I’m surprised more women didn’t do so in this race. The brim keeps the rain drops from hitting around your eyes, which is EXTREMELY annoying and distracting.

@@peytonhunt364 yeah I don't know the exact logistics on what races allow pacers, but they're usually people who aren't part of the race that run the first portion at a certain pace, so the runners have an idea of how quick or slow they're going.

Im pretty sure pacers are allowed in any race. They just have to be registered to run it . Because they step off the track tho, it will most likely result in a Dq or a DNF, but for pacers it doesn't matter because it's not their event.

No, she's a "pacer" or a "rabbit" as some people call it. There purpose in the race is to take the competitors to a certain distance at a time specified by the athletes in the race. It pretty much makes it easier for the athletes who are actually racing. Most people who are Pacers or rabbits do it to make some money since track isnt the highest paying sport.
