I will make that video after regular decisions come out. But my general advice is to be yourself and show you have passion and work hard for what you love to do. No one is you, so being you will make you stand out. Not trying to be someone else. If you just glance through my channel, you can see my main activity, and I wrote about that.
Hey!! I am a freshman in high school. Do colleges mark you down if you don’t do an extra curricular for all four years ? For example, if I did an extracurricular for 10th, 11th, and 12 grade, and I accomplished a lot in that extra curricular, would the fact that I didn’t do that extra curricular in freshman year make a difference? Thanks!
Hey! No, they won’t. Colleges (and even future job interviews) look for passion and u doing what u love to do; accomplishments are a bonus. I was in Chicago youth symphony orchestra 9th and 10th grade and quit bc I wasn’t passionate ab it and it took too much of my time. I started powerlifting in 10th grade, and that’s where my passion is. So long story short, do what u want to do and are passionate about, even if you find it senior year. Don’t do something for college, bc in the end, it’s not worth it to waste ur precious time doing something u don’t love to do. Hope this helps!
Okay guys please answer me I wanna know WHY it says “2025”, like she has to wait 4 years to go? I never understood how it worked (I’m French so it’s not the same here...)
Class of 2025 means we graduate in the year 2025 (assuming 4 years in college). We also say this for high school, like I’m class of 2021 because I graduate high school in 2021. Hope this helps!
what they are looking for is passion for stem throughout your application and essays, and passion cannot be faked. So, participate in activities that you enjoy and are passionate about. I will go super in depth with my advice for college admissions after regular decisions come out
I strongly recommend you don't write in the note sections about your typo, it'll make you seem extremely conceited and oblivious because they didn't defer you because of that typo, they deferred you for a reason, MIT is insanely hard to get into. Chalking up your deferral to a typo will make you seem super conceited to the admissions officers I really hope you don't do that.
Thank you, and I understand. I know that MIT is insanely hard to get into, and I have no intention that it is my typo that caused MIT to defer me. However, you don’t know what kind of typo I made and where I made it. Also, if I were to write in the note section, it would be optimistic, humorous, (like my other essays) and say it’s not a bad thing I made that typo (I’m actually really thankful I made it). So, I will be thinking and praying on this, leading me to the right decision, but thank you for your advice.
