A compilation of every Group of 5 over Power 5 win from the 2021 College Football Season. In total, there was 21 such instances this season. For those that did not know, the Group of 5 consists of the AAC, Conference USA, MAC, Mountain West, and Sun Belt Conferences while the Power 5 consists of the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, Pac 12, and SEC Conferences. For the purpose of this video, I counted Army as a Group of 5 team and Notre Dame as a Power 5 team (even though both teams are technically neither since they are not in a conference). Watch all 21 minutes to enjoy some of the best games from this past college football season including the triple overtime thriller between Utah and San Diego State and Western Michigan stunning the eventual ACC Champs in a shootout. Yea I feel like a lot of people forgot about that game. The main reason Utah lost was because they weren’t starting Cam Rising yet, but it was still a pretty impressive win for SDSU.

@@pschighlights I'm pretty sure a reason they were ranked after losing to Utah State in the MW championship was because they had like 20 guys or some ridiculous number out for covid bs. Utah State is a good team and I liked to see em win but depending on who those players were that were out SDSU probably would have won.

Gonna be honest… not that good lmao. He got benched early in the season and our backup was significantly better. He was decent in high school tho maybe he’ll do better with more talent around him.

I’m not a miss st fan but that absolute joke of an officiating job against Memphis on that punt is tough to watch. The official even knew what the call should have been when he threw the bean bag marking it and starting to wave his hands and then decided it would be cooler if Memphis got a TD for no reason. Purdue is a p5 team though, Power 5 is an unofficial term for teams in big 10, big 12, acc, sec, pac 12 and Notre Dame. Byu is in a gray area some consider them a p5 and some don’t.

Notre Dame are essentially part-time members of the ACC (they’re full members of the ACC in basketball). Notre Dame’s football team plays five games against ACC opponents every year, in addition to USC and Stanford. There is also their storied history and level of play, including two CFP appearances and one BCS appearance.

Coastal isn’t consider a group 5 team anymore since they been having 10 wins back to back every season which makes them eligible of joining one of the P5 schools.
