When I saw Kansas State being defeated by Baylor, it just brought back some awful memories for me. Just like 1998 Big 12 Championship game when Kansas State lost to Texas A&M. Two blown opportunities to make the National Championship which they have never made to before.

Damn the video quality in that OU vs K- state upset game made 2003 look like 1963.. Man has technology came a long way in such a short time 🤯

Here's one to add: 1997 Penn State, ranked #4 and had a good chance at a bowl alliance game (was ranked #1 all year until losing to Michigan 34-8 on "Judgement Day") but instead unranked Michigan State won 49-14 after a close first half. As a Penn State fan, that game was frustrating and I still have no idea how that happened.

Kansas St losing to Baylor was not only an example of an undefeated number one team looking ahead to bowl season, but it also decimated that football program. They never recovered from that loss and could never get the big recruits that would return them to being a top team.

When Texas Tech beat wvu 49-14 in 2012 neal brown was their offensive coordinator who is now west virginia’s coach and the quarterback was seth doege, who’s younger brother, jarret doege plays qb at wvu now

I only played from pee wee to my senior year in college but even in high school there is nothing better than breaking a 40 plus yard td in front of your whole school and friends. Some of the best times of my life being a running quarterback.

1990...unranked Northern Illinois 73, #24 Fresno State 18. Our quarterback ran for 5 touchdowns in that game. We ran the wishbone that season. 😊

The Pick 6, whilst playing at home in a tight game, has got to be the most exciting play in Football. It's such a change in momentum/emotion. We were in Waco, 2019, for Baylor v OU...it was late in the 1st half when Baylor got a huge Pick right on the OU sideline, which is in front of the Baylor Student section, were were in the End-zone so the play came right at us...that Student section going crazy was awesome...AND I'm a OU guy.

6:00 if there was ever a perfect scenario for a 4 team playoff it was in 2001. Unfortunately, we still had the 1 vs. 2 bowl system and not only did Colorado get passed over by the Nebraska team they had just blown out, so did Oregon.

2019 Holiday Bowl Iowa vs USC Iowa had the higher ranking, and the game was close till 3rd quarter. Poor USC fans (and TV/radio commentators) kept blaming USC, coaching, players, etc. Never could praise Iowa defense, special teams, or tight-end focused offense picking apart USC secondary.

K State is good at this. You could include UF- Ole Miss 2015 too

I remember the Purdue game very well, as I watched the whole thing and cheered my Boilermakers the entire time..

I'll never forget that Purdue game. Probably one of the best nights of my life. Met Tyler Trent (RIP), stormed the field, and partied all night with my friends.

My mother and I have been college football fans for our whole lives. She grew up watching it since her childhood, and we watched the games together throughout my childhood. Though she and I are both fans of the University of Virginia (yes, they aren't exactly a football school, but both she and I attended there), we would religiously watch nearly every game, every Saturday, for my whole life. We are both fans of college football in general. She and I have seen many of these games live, and this video reminds me of a saying she always says: "Any team can beat any team on any given day". Regardless of who you are playing, you have to always expect the unexpected, believe the hype, do your job, and ignore the rankings. This video shows what can happen to any team on any day.

Neal Brown was an offensive coordinator or QB coach (can't remember which) at Texas Tech in 2012 (the year they blew out WVU), & the QB for Texas Tech was Seth Doege. Now in 2020, Neal Brown is the head coach at WVU & the starting QB is Jarret Doege, Seth's little brother. Kind of a cool story.

As an OSU fan.. I know we got the brakes beat off us in those two games. However.. it’s insanely hard to win on the road and at night in any P5 but it’s especially difficult in the B10. The Iowa game was the perfect trap game for us. We were entirely over looking Iowa but they were coming off a big win the week before and they still had a shot at saving their season somewhat. Then the Purdue game despite what the scores says.. was a very close game but A.. Purdue was playing for a kid with cancer that was a life long fan and B.. it was just one of those rare games for OSU where nothing went right. Despite the turnovers, we moved the ball at will but our wide outs just had bananas for hands.. dropped FOUR balls in the end zone on separate drives and that kinda thing never happens to OSU. Our defense was also uncharacteristically shit that year and we had a big play weakness all year and Purdue was swinging for the fence all night. Furthermore.. Ohio State in terms of wins has been the most consistent and successful team going back 50 years but ESPECIALLY in the last 20. It’s maybe happened once or twice in the last 10 years where a B10 team has had a class with more than one win against OSU but most classes don’t get any. So, every B10 game is like a bowl game for us and the other team gives us their best shot to try and beat us and make us stumble. Most games we come prepared and still take care of business but it’s pretty much impossible to be perfect every week year in and year out. So, we’re bound to stumble here and there just like every other program. But.. we tend to stumble less often :-)
