Today I just got accepted to my dream uni in the uk! Of course I am very excited but also terrified since I will be moving away to a whole different continent and away from my family and friends and starting all over. This idea is both equally liberating and scary. However, like you mentioned, maybe college isn’t such a scary thing after all. Thank you for reminding me of this Jing

As someone who’s had to move a lot, I can definitely relate to struggling with maintaining friendships (or not doing so at all to be honest) and I’ve actually come to the exact same conclusion, about most friendships when we’re younger existing out of convenience. Even before the pandemic, I was never really one to go out with friends and spend time with them outside of school. Something I want to try this year is to socialise more and I think I’ll do better actually seeking out people who share interests with me. For me, there are also the issues of social awkwardness and distance... and I’m probably moving for the seventh time in my life (I’m not quite nineteen) next year but eh. Your brother is so cute. 😭 Congrats on your silver play button! You really deserve it.
