Hope you guys enjoyed the the first Live Show Wednesday! We had a blast checking this one out! Loved it much more than the studio, was brilliant here! Cheers friends! 😁
Please do White Man (album version) Then check out Brighton Rock (Live In Budapest) from the same tour as this performance. BUT DO WHITE MAN ALREADY !!!!! (lol)
I would love you to the opening number at Queens 1976 Wembley concert- One Vision. Freddie entering the stage at the very beginning then they really go at it with One Vision. That entire concert was mind blowing.
Hey glad you liked this version.! Whew! “One Vision “ has been suggested frequently from this same Wembley concert and rocks as much or more. .Also, there is a funky take “Another One Bites the Dust” that is thoroughly enjoyable even though the song is played to death-the instrumentals are amazing. Thx
Nobody but NOBODY beats Queen live, they are absolutely fantastic! My absolute favourite will always be Wembley '86 though Montreal runs a very close second! Aren't they brilliant?!
Finally guys!!! Live Queen is mind blowing, every song that you already love, you will discover it and fall in love all over again. It's Queen, it's a kind of magic.
You have just learned that the magic of Freddie is his live performances showcasing his songs as they were meant to be heard. An album could never fully capture the magic Freddie presented on stage.
PLEASE....... Save me, Montreal ‘81! So glad “Magic was redeemed” I always loved it, but then I was in my mid teens in the ‘80’s, so its the soundtrack to my life!
YES! Save me.. live at Montreal -- I love how Brian starts out on piano, and then the transition when he goes to guitar and Freddie on keys... and we're all like "what??" - who saw that coming? :)
I've only ever seen 1 other front man who got close to Freddie (who I saw in 1986 at Maine Road, Manchester) and that was Michael Hutchins of INXS. Again, no pro tools or auto-tune in 1991, but have a look at this and see what you think. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y_iNyqf-HTE.html
I've never figured out how a drummer can have a foot and both hands operating independently of each other and actually sound good. Throw the vocals in too and I've got some mad respect for Roger.
Awesome! I'm a happy nut 😍 Watching you guys getting more and more drawn into the performance as it went on spoke volumes. 😁👍 And you're right, that bass line pump through your veins and just gives you LIFE! 💓
I love that you mentioned that one visual moment of Brian...the mist/smoke actually lingered in that magnificent hair as it passed over him. And yes, it looked a little like a kind of magic...which is appropriate because that's exactly what they were.💙
I'm just going to write the same comment again and again until you see the concert 😁😂 A night at the Odeon, Hammersmith 1975. In the lap of the gods revisited and White queen 💓 👑
I think you two should just pick up Queen Live at Wembley on DVD for yourselves. And The Hungarian Rhapsody in Budapest. And of course, Queen Rock Montreal (and Live Aid). Give in to the peer pressure. You need these DVDs in your life.
P.S. Hey, Alex...John redeems his 80's look by taking off his jacket, changing into short shorts, and wearing 3 different shirts (a wild green one, a Scandal one, and a t-shirt that looks like Brian in the 'I Want to Break Free' video. Freddie, of course, ends up with no shirt at all (always love that!!)😂❤️❤️
Rock_ it! The actual ones, I know the person that owns them, they have a small Queen collection, signed items, that sort of thing plus a few other bits.
So happy you both took the time to watch this played live. Very different than just on a disc. Freddie and the boys just give it their all. Freddie can blast a roof of a building with his power-singing and the instrumentals rocked. Thanks for sharing!
From time to time I watch this entire concert instead of a movie. Once I start it I can't stop. Maybe it's too long to react to, but you'll love it if you watch it. The were as good as they ever were in '86.
Two more suggestion for Queen life performances: 1. WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER at Wembley Stadium 1986 (the same concert of A Kind Of Magic)) 2. IN THE LAP OF THE GODS, live at the Rainbow 1974 Freddie and his mates' voiced blended together are absolutely mind blowing.... without mentioning their instruments....
I saw Queen that same summer in Manchester. Amazing. I am so blessed that I saw them :) Thanks for continuing to do Queen songs :) Please do the live version of Son and Daughter from Golders Green hippodrome.
Love this reaction, one of my favorites! Talking about Freddie walking across the stage at the beginning, you need to see what led up to that!! And as good as it was I'm sure they cracked the glass!!!!
Should have watched the Saturday night version guys and you would have given it a 10. They used the Friday show as a test run for the cameras. The Saturday show was filmed beautifully and Brian was on another level.
I noticed that Brian is wearing a wireless pack here plugged into the RS, but not long after this song he switches out to a cable straight to the amps, and didn't bother with the wireless pack on Saturday. He may have been having sound problems, I guess.
I own the live at wembley 2 DVD box. And i can NEVER just watch a little ..from start to finish i always watch the entire concert...its that good..Freddie was in top form the whole band was totally in and the audience 80,000 ate it up
Love you guys! Definitely "Now I'm Here" (Live at Wembley) Roger stated it was one of the most physically demanding tracks to play live. Awesome energy and performance. Love John's baseline also, and Brian, well what can you say "his guitar just sings".
Hiya both and thanks for continuing to play Queen. It’s great to watch your enthusiasm and appreciation of them and heart-warming that so many still love Queen.
Hi guys Its A Kind Of Magic is a classic live and I like the studio version as well but live it is fantastic glad you gave it a second chance 9 rating for me . Remember guys this was written for the movie Highlander I think. Freddie nails it live. Stay lucky stay safe Mike UK.
I always loved the way Brian May could play both rhythm & lead guitar so smoothly. You would think that there are two separate guitar players in the band. Only the best guitar players are able to do that.
I recommend any song from the Hammersmith Odeon performance in 1975 but particularly Ogre Battle or Seven Seas of Rhye. Also, the Hyde Park performance of You Take My Breath Away. It is just Freddie and the piano. So beautiful. He takes my breath away!
🙋🏾♀️ Ana Monroe...You Take My Breath Away had gotta be the most haunting live song ever...I like both live versions BUT the studio version is unmatched with the harmonies just like Love of My Life with the harp. Though I do prefer the latter live because it had become a Ballard the crowd sings with and sometimes to Freddie 🤗.
If you can find the Saturday video (this is from the "practice run" Friday concert) you get to see more of the performance, and it is a slightly better version of the song. But good on your guys for going live with this stuff. This is where Queen take it up a notch :)
@@RoverWaters to be fair to them, it isn't helped by the fact that often times RU-vid has the Friday performances above the Saturday ones (certainly for AKOM it did when I searched yesterday) and, if it's a true "FIRST REACTION", then I guess the knowledge of the Friday vs Saturday performance would be non-existent. But yeah, hope that the guys know from now on as the Saturday performance is professionally shot, gives a much better feel for the concert and the band definitely upped their game for the Saturday, particularly Brian.
If you're looking for another glorious performance, do "Take my breath away" Hyde Park 1976. It's Freddie's voice and him playing the piano for a powerfully emotional rendition of this great song.
Queen just turned what I consider an OK song into an incredible performance because each one of their bandmembers are freaking geniuses!! I’m a huge Queen fan & this is my least favorite song by the band but I love this performance!!! ❤️❤️❤️ it wasn’t just Freddie Mercury , but The drummer was killing it and Brian May & John Deacon on the guitars and bass, just put this song out there and blew it away!!! Awesome!!!
That Brian May solo should go on for ever! This track was always better live, others better on the studio version. PLEASEsover the rock n roll medley from the Wembley concert - it just gets better and better, and the ending is PHENOMENAL!
the Yellow jacguette concert at Wembley They showed what rockmusic is about with the killing Brian May on the redspecial and the base ofDeacy and the singing in harmonious perfection nice vid again you guys
Don't abandon the Queen album tracks (even if you have to skip about a bit with the video/audio) as we are all wanting more album and live reactions - and check out White Man already !!!
Live in Rio was that crazy over 120,000 people there. Queen was really pumped up!! Their awesome stadium tour. I saw some of it on RU-vid and was amazed. Such a perfect foursome!!
queen live is always the best. Save Me is a great song..watch the live version at Montreal 81. Also Now Im here is great live in Montreal. As well as the live version of dragon attack. Check out In the lap of the Gods live at the odeon. Or budapest. Live somebody to love at milton keynes. Rock in Rio..so much to pick from. U two still havent done under pressure live at wembley either. Or who wants to live forever.
This cut of "Under Pressure" (Live at Wembley, 1986) includes Mercury's bonus call-and-reply intro: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OVzvoPP6M50.html
@Andy & Alex Thanks for the many ❤ you sent me for my comments, I have quite a veritable collection by now just from you guys ! While I really appreciate your....um....appreciation ! , I think you know by now what I would like more than a personal visit from THE Queen.....one of your enthusiastic reviews of THAT Queen who we all love, larking about playing and singing....(here it comes again !)..."Headlong" !!!! (I bet you didn't see that coming either ?). Here's a ❤ from me to you both !
The song Staying Power is often considered one of their worst songs, but they always slayed it live! Queen can take any mediocre song and push it at full force for an amazing performance!
😂 I have been "spiritually convinced" by YT comments in my day -- it happens. 💜 Freddie's badassery on a stadium stage is truly awe-inspiring. Good stuff all around. 🌟
Emma Hayward I know, isn’t it amazing? His Dr told him not to do Live Aid because of a nasty throat infection. Listening to that you would never guess he had a bad throat!!!!! He was just amazing.
Yay!!!! I'm so happy y'all did this!!!!! Side note... This tour was the last live performances with Freddie as frontman. 😣 One Vision, Tie your Mother down, Lap of the Gods, Seven Seas of rye, Tear it up. The first 30 minutes alone are blood pumping. 2 Wembley shows ending with the last gig at Knebworth. After that last tour, just music and videos. You guys rock!!!!
Great vid guys. That particular version is from the first night of 2 nights at Wembley. The video footage was test footage ahead of the main filming the next day. If you watch that version (which is what ends up on the Wembley dvd), you'd see a lot more of the crowd, the stage, band etc and get a much better experience of the song. Plus Brian is killer on night two. But great show all the same. 😊
You should react to Staying Power (live at the Bowl). It's not one of their biggest hits, but it showcases just what a technically fantastic band they were.
Boston Don’t look back official music video. It’s totally live and totally amazing! I know you love Boston, and this is just a small piece of Brad Delp at his best! Or Party live! Amazing singer. And the bass player is a joy to watch, when you get to see him. So much energy!
Queen was always so good live. This is one of my favorite concerts; everything is so good. How about reacting to Save Me, Live at Montreal. It features Brian on piano and a beautiful guitar. Another older one I would love you guys to react to is Son and Daughter, Live at the Rainbow, back to their heavy metal sound.
@@patmcnair2784 I've been more than lucky enough to have seen them on eight occasions only with Freddie though, they are not the same without him, no disrespect to Brian and Roger for trying to keep Queen and their music living on, makes me happy when younger people discover their music and talent and of course the real Legendary Freddie Mercury ☺
Hey guys! I stumbled on you a few months ago, and have worked my way through your Queen vids. I am a 72-yr oils grammy, who just delights in watching you discover what I have been listening to many long years! I just saw them live in Houston last month. Thank you!
