I was drugged at a night club while visiting Vegas. We had always wanted to go to Vegas. So while traveling in the transport truck with my then boyfriend, now my husband our route went right by Las Vegas. We stayed three days. The first hotel we stayed at was the Renaissance, and it was absolutely amazing! Second hotel we stayed at was the Luxor, he always wanted to go there. The second we walked in the lobby someone handed me a ‘ladies night’ wrist band for the Lax night club. We thought sure why not. So we went that night. Now keep in mind…. I can drink. I have zero issues when I drink, well except I can get a tad rowdy… it’s the Canadian in me! Anyhoo, we ordered two drinks. I got two free. That’s all I remember. All other memory of the evening gone. I can drink…. Two drinks made me forget I was alive. Thank god I had my husband there. Scary stuff, afraid to put your drink down, can’t even trust the bar tenders. I hope this girl gets some justice. That’s just absolutely disgusting that this is happening. Money makes people do some crazy shit.
It happened to me in a local Bar in Iowa. I only had 2 drinks. We got up to leave and I blacked out on the steps. When I got home, I was sooo sick and remained very sick for 3 days. That was so scarry
Instead of TRUSTING a stranger at a bar while going out to party, YALL BETTER LEARN TO BUY CLOSED BOTTLE OF DRINKS AND GET LIT BEFORE GOING OUT AND CHILL IN THE CUT IF YOU CAN!!!!!
The fact she needed to learn to walk again tells you the hospital for alot of dodgyness!! Thank God her friend recovered on her own 🙏🙏 Can't help but think of she hasn't made it and hadnt known anyone she may have been sold as organ donations 😵
This was goin on in Las Vegas. Friendly "escorts" were drugging Johns...taking them to hotel rooms & harvesting 1 of their kidneys. They would wake up & call 911. They not know where they were & why they were in pain & had tons of stitches on their torso....SO SICK 😮
About 26 years ago, I was at a convention in Bermuda, at the high end Hamilton Princess hotel. We were at the bar drinking, most of the people at this outdoor bar from the convention, so we all loosely knew each other. At the other end of the bar were two women whom the bar tender was flirting with, it was noticeable. Back and forth it was, “ I got nothing but love for you baby”. So I took notice, having met the two women. The next day, the convention ended, I was on the plane back to the USA. I saw one of the woman the bar tender was flirting with. Passed her on her way to the bathroom. She was a mess, could barely acknowledge me when I said hello. I saw her a few years later at another convention, and she apologized. Saying she thought she was drugged by the bartender. She shut down his advances at the end of the night, and he got mad. She said she barely made it to the plane, and couldn’t really remember the flight. So, I’m not surprised when I see this.
Jamel… This is why I’m glad & proud to have been sober for just over 11 years now. When I go out with friends and drinks are ordered, I usually ask for bottled water or a bottle of soft drink (what you call “sodas” in the U.S.). No matter where I travel, I always have my “shields up” & if ANYTHING seems slightly suspicious… I avoid it like the plague.

It took a near fatal car crash, police asking me “how did you survive that?” (the accident) & 2 guys in my hospital ward because of alcohol related issues flat-lining & dying within 20 minutes to convince me to quit. I guess in a strange way, I was kind of “scared straight” (but not in a prison) but without having to go to prison to do it. I had been thinking of quitting prior to the accident but seeing 2 people die so close by while powerless to help was “the clincher” ✌️😁
And thank God for that mother who saved her daughter. I am glad her friend is doing well and assume she has friends to care for her while she recovered
I went to Mexico end of last year, we had a great time even in the wild west of a town, Tulum....We saw Chitzen Itza, went to the Cenotes, and visited several little towns along the way....Thanks Jamel. (always drink bottled water there) never been sick (cross my fingers), and don't buy drugs or prostitutes. The desk manager said that the police don't generally bother Americans because they bring a lot of money.
This is not unusual about Mexican hospital. Second story I heard this month. ALWAYS get travel insurance with medical coverage. And you can let the State Department know your travel plans via STEP, The US Embassy may have been able to help.
That first photo is probably a screen shot from security camera. I’ve never heard of such a wild scam involving a hospital, that is truly terrifying! Can you imagine being put on the street in that condition!? I’m dumbfounded that a hospital could be part of something so sick. I guess they have no one to answer to. I’m thinking about all the people who go to Mexico for dental work or plastic surgery. 😮

I was drugged at a restaurant less than a mile from my home. Bartender and a cop were in on it. I reported it to PD, they treated me like some dumb bar fly,(i was there picking up my dinner, while i sipped my bourbon, sparked a conversation with a Linden PD officer, who asked me to join him at another bar close by, when i resfused and went home instead(did not remeber a 2 minuteride home!!!!), he freaked out on me(plan failed) I went back to let them know i reported it, and that i wanted to see security camera footage, "yeah, the camera doesn't get that last bar stool on the end", that is what i was told. Never stepped into that establishment again. Karma, jussayin ~ And i was 49 years old, not young or dumb. But it took 3 days for me to sleep that off!!!
So sorry that happened to you, but glad you got away. Crazy stuff like this is going on more often lately, especially done by people in authority positions or what are supposed to be trusted professions. Thank you for telling your story, it helps others know we're not alone with these experiences.
Everyone knows the dangers. Arrogant people assume it won't happen to them. If it does go bad they are not shocked it happened they are shocked it happened to themselves. Arrogance is the problem.
I've never been to a third-world country, and I never intend to. They say crime is bad in the US, but it isn't nearly as bad as the poor countries, and the trouble you can get into.

This happened to both my parents when we were in Cabo San Lucas back in the 90's. They both got roofied while in the hotel pool bar. My mom passed out and my dad realized what was going on and ended up trying to fight the bartender and ended up getting thrown in jail. I was only 15 at the time and nobody told my mom what happened to my dad the next day when she finally woke up and we wouldn't of even known he was in jail had I not happened to walk by and see it happen.
In playa I tripped on uneven stone pavement at hotel and cut my knee. This was 7 yrs ago and $3,000 b4 Dr would see me. 27 stitches but he did a really good job. Glad I purchased travel insurance as we were paid back in 3 weeks.
The US should demand that the FBI be allowed to come down and investigate and prosecute the guilty ones in this case, or else impose sanctions. Sounds like the hospital and the bar are in cahoots.
The FBI can’t ever come to a conclusion on ANYTHING. As soon as the FBI gets involved you know it is going to be a massive cover-up. They are much more “cleaners” for the powerful than an investigative organization
Most people don’t realize how healthcare is outside of U.S. it is common for hospitals to demand upfront payment for treatment. ALWAYS GET TRIP MEDICAL INSURANCE. Or check with your health insurance before leaving the country.

Americans are dumb as fuck, why go to a third world country and flex. I went to Jamaica once and I felt horrible. The people lived in squalor while the tourists are all you can eat and throw food away. Stay where you belong, stop enabling the bad guys

A friend of mine got really sick when he arrived at a resort in Cancun ( not a drugging). He had travel health insurance that was part of the travel package. The doctor made a house call and a couple days later and made a follow up house call. Since then, the times i have traveled out of country I have gotten travel medical its almost always under $50 for a week.
My granddaughter goes there with here family from Peru she meets them there from America since she was a little girl she's 15 now I really will tell her to stay clear of there because her family stays at the exclusive hotels no way not anymore 😞
I have not heard of that kind of scam. However, I am fortunate to have travel medical insurance as part of my insurance benefits from my employer. In the past I always got insurance. Granted, it’s harder when you’re in a situation like that girl because she was incapacitated and couldn’t call right away.
Stuff like this can happen anywhere in the world, especially with visitors to a particular country. You just have to be wary of anyone & anything that raises even the slightest of red flags 🚩🙅🏻♂️🚩
This is why my wife and I never go to Mexico, We always go to Cuba and as we are Canadians. we are covered for one million while on vacation... We have been down south 8 times, and we have never been faces with something like this.
I love to travel and have lived all over the world, but I rarely stay places known for tourism. They have plans in place to run this type of scam all over the world. Not so in places where locals enjoy having visitors because they don't get them as frequently. Tourism isn't necessarily an industry in a lot of safe places to travel.
Bar tenders getting paid by hospitals omg and the drug's that are being used are coming from the hospital and the bartender is giving it out not knowing what the drugs are how much drugs to use when spiking those drinks .nobody thinks this is going to happen on holiday. WRONG don't think you are safe on holiday. 😢😢😢

But this My daughter & son in law rented a car DONT. do it. , you are a red flag 🚩 A motorcycle with a woman out of know where got in front of them , injured the woman , had many witnessed confirming it was there fault , & just know they don’t follow the law . Do my son in law freaked out , didn’t know if he was going to jail , Was told No but had to go to police station & make a statement, Will he went to jail , this was 9 in the morning no bail , A woman says she part of insurance “ Wasn’t “ They had full converage& was at the scene Told my daughter he’s coming out DIDNT, Told my daughter to come at 8. nite Mind You it was a shady area I can say imagine being white full of real criminals, But he said they were all good to him The lady told my daughter she has to pay 1000 $ just even think about getting him out The motorcycle guy in jail the lady in hospital For there mistake , so 1000$ not enough wants 500 more My daughter said no she can give 300$ more He gets out at 3 in the morning To find out all tourists go one hr away to jail he was in there jail, also she handed the front guy $$ and kept the rest It was a scam , The lady kept saying please don’t report her she will lose her job .The resort had a person say it was a dangerous place my daughter was . They actually were nice giving my daughter a ride & making sure she was ok , and shocked where he was , wasn’t supposed to go there So she paid the scammer & police & the motorcycle guy to get out Be safe Cancun is beautiful But be wise in your surroundings Don’t rent Your plates says it all .
There is a movie about this stuff it is called Touristas it is a 2006 film. They were drugged then a guy pretended to be drugged too and was like I got a place to stay come with me so they did. They were kidnapped and their organs were harvested and sold. It was wild she is blessed it did not go that way. I would rather be robbed for money than my life. That should never have to be a decision but if it came down to money or my life I’d choose life.
As for the “private” hospital requiring payment for an uninsured foreigner- yeah, I’m not surprised. But, the whole story seems sketch anyway. I don’t really believe her.
We've gone to Cancun, Mexico every year for 14 years. Stay at MAJOR, all inclusive resorts & ALWAYS buy medical/travel insurance ($30 per person) when traveling. It covers everything. We always book through Cheap Carribean. Never had any issues. Going back later this year. Can't wait! 🌴🏖️☀️🌊🐚🍹🌮
I lived in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for 5 years and i call "BS" button on this because from what i saw is that these college students loose all inhibition and who knows what else. Now on the other hand if you look for trouble in Mexico you will find trouble.
WE WENT TO CANCUN MY WHOLE LIFE AND THE PEOPLE R AMAZING THERE ESPECIALLY THAT WORK THERE SO FOR SENIOR TRIP US GIRLS WENT ALONE TO CANCUN AND WERE ROUDY ONES AND NOTHING EVER HAPPENED TO US THANK GOD EXCEPT FOR THE TAXI DROPPED US OFF AND THE VALET GUY TOOK US TO THE ROOM WE COULDNT WALK AND TRIED TO KEEP A FEEL OMG WENT NUTS ON HIM LOL BUT THATS IT IT WAS LOVELY STAY SAFE HAVE FUN LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
