I saw the Collin Street Bakery “Holiday Cake” ($17.98) at my local H-E-B and I wondered how it’s different from the Collin Street Bakery “Original DeLuxe Fruitcake” ($27.98). Both are available at H-E-B this month.
We are so glad you enjoyed both products! Fun fact, the jeweled red and green fruits on top are cherries and chunks of pineapple which are glacéed, which is a sugar glazing technique from France. And you were right! There is not difference in flavor when it comes to our Holiday Cake and our DeLuxe® Fruitcake. They are both made from our original DeLuxe® recipe, but the DeLuxe® is beautifully hand decorated on top, whereas the Holiday cake is covered in roughly chopped Native Pecan halves and pieces. :) We look forward to another review!
