Join us for a look around The Colne Valley Railway on their 2024 Miniatures day, where they ran 10 locos on their miniature railway.
The main line was in action with their Barclay and a vintage bus ride to visit the workshops to see the two Back fives under restoration.
As well as traction engines there was much to see on this great day out.
I have done my best to avoid filming people and conversations but inevitably at an event like this it is so difficult to avoid, so if there are any objections please get in touch with the time in the video and I will do my best to edit.

Good to see 👀the younger generation taking an interest👍👍.surprised you got inside the signal box ,layouts were good as to be expected.

Apologies for the delay in responding, yep he's a good lad and really into the Busses, we spent ages in the signal box, the chap was really nice explaining things.

Hi Matt thanks for showing some of the engineering work being carried out on the Black 5. Very interesting. I wonder why they name the little shuttle train the Norfolkman when the line is in Suffolk? Would you happen to know what is the intention for the earthworks <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="2220">37:00</a> between the main station area and the 7.1/4” line.

Not so sure about the earthworks, they lost some land recently and had to lift some siding track so I assume the track will be relayed there. I know thy have stock sitting in the station that is preventing a two train service. As for the Norfolkman, its a visiting loco .... or just lost.

The Colne Valley Railway is in Essex, so the Norfolkman was very lost 😃

Looks like a great day out, I am hoping to go there for this Saturdays HST day. Have you been to the Mangapps museum? Went there recently and was quite impressed.

@@dustyshelfcollectables Yes thank you, was very enjoyable. Although was hardly anyone there, there was quite a lot of localised rain in the area.
