Adorable ! Il est bon de rappeler que c'est Mr Claude LELAIE pilote d'essais qui a mis au point ce petit " monstre ".......Et qu'ensuite il a mené les essais de......l' A 380...Authentique !
A friend years ago had the snowmobile engine powered version. Without brakes we had stand by each wing tip for engine start (hand prop) and run up. He always stayed within gliding distance of the field and said if you leaned forward or backward in the seat....the tiny thing would go up or down. Pretty squirrally I always thought!!! Took some courage to fly I think
This video footage was from at least 8 years ago but maybe even longer. It's sad that it didn't take off because it seems astounding. The actual CriCri aircraft was developed around 50 years ago in France. In 2010, an electric adaptation became the first ever electric aircraft to cross the English Channel. In the same year it also set a record for the fastest electric aircraft. It's hard to find a lot of info on even the aircraft let alone this Jet engine version. An aspiring French (or any national) filmmaker could make a really nice story here :)
I am 68 , i remember one the first flights of this jwell in july 1973 at Montargis airfield RSA meating , i was just 17 !!! , time is runing so fast ... The year i got my first solo on à jodeld112 , Michel Colomban the designer , made sevrals others jwells the MC 100 Banbi which was declined as MCR 01 plane and MCR UL ultra light carbon made , and finely the Luciole one seater ultra light : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colomban_MC-30_Luciole
There's no shortage of info on the plane outside of straight up plans for it. The engines are just RC turbine engines, they look very similar in size to the ones I have in my models, I would figure around 50 to 80 lbs of thrust each. In several other videos of these planes it looks like they've tried different brands of engines, I"m not sure about these blue ones, but there's a video with some gray ones which I believe may be AMT Turbines or Jetcat
@@clavo3352 Then you are hardened to being hammered. There is little negative when you can only see positive. That's what this world needs. Depends upon to be honest. Be the change you want to see at all costs.
@@garrykennedy5484 Oh I was self actualized once; about 1978 for about 6 weeks . That was really nice. Then some Satanic type person filled me with doubt and it was all gone. Tried like hell to get it back, for about 25 years, but then I forgot why. Life happens
That is so nice you should have a fleet of different aircraft I'd build a Lear and a Falcon 10 or 20, I wish I could be 20 years old again so I could have time to design and build different airframes, and I thought building and flying hang gliders was the in thing back in the 70's! Great aircraft my man !
If only those engines were good for more than 25 hours between service, this would be awesome. As it stands, I'd rather have a pair of axiro rotary motors with a combined 80 hp. Also, my favorite mini plane is the Davis DA-11.... but I also don't have a plane, and you guys do, so you've got that going for you.
I thought it sounded rather loud from the video of it taxiing. It is difficult for me to judge noise level based upon a video. I am sure it gets quieter the more one flies it.
The countryside looks remarkably like that near me. I live south of the City of Perth in Western Australia. Pleanty of emus round here but I have yet to see a condor! Great job guys!!
@@steelshotproductions I stayed in Copperas Cove once when I was visiting a friend who was stationed at Ft Hood. Serpentine is drier and flatter than Hill Country and there's emus and kangaroos instead of white-tails and turkeys. Instead of rattlesnakes, we've got tiger snakes. The humidity is lower here in WA, too - Except maybe this week.
The pilot speaking at the start of the clip is an Afrikaans speaking South African, although the airfield seems to have been positively identified as being in W. Australia.
Perhaps I'm mistaken but don't the flaperons usually go right to the tips? Are they shortened because of flutter or because of tip stall? I've seen a "normal" Cri-Cri doing a roll in France.
So the aircraft ego i VH-zse and thew initial call is to serpentine, a town in west Australia. aircraft is registered to a dutch man in australia. interesting
Hi really cool 😎 if the jets engines are omnidirectional you could takeoff 🛫 vertical & transition into fixed wing horizontal. Take care, good flight & God speed. 🍀
