Hello everyone!
Today, we're finalizing the automated delivery system and test it out with water. Furthermore, we're finally going to colonize the third planetoid, building a rocket platform! Hope you enjoy!:)
Oxygen Not Included is a space-colony simulation game. Deep inside an alien space rock your industrious crew will need to master science, overcome strange new lifeforms, and harness incredible space tech to survive, and possibly, thrive.

In Oxygen Not Included you’ll find that scarcities of oxygen, warmth and sustenance are constant threats to your colony's survival. Guide colonists through the perils of subterranean asteroid living and watch as their population grows until they're not simply surviving, but thriving...
Just make sure you don't forget to breathe.
Build Extensive Bases and Discover What it Takes to Survive:
Everything in your space colony is under your control, from excavation and resource allocation right down to plumbing and power systems. Resources will begin depleting with your first breath, however, so be sure to dig fast if you want to live.
It’s Mind Over Matter with Stress Simulations:
Keep the psychological impact of survival at bay with fun leisure activities, great accommodations and even better food for your colony. Duplicants each have different and potentially destructive ways of reacting to stress, so be sure to always keep them happy. Whatever the cost.
Avoid Boiling with Thermodynamics:
Temperature control is a constant concern in space; too cold and you'll freeze, too hot and you'll fry. Keep tabs on ambient environmental temperatures and your colony's heat production to maintain a nice, cozy atmosphere for your colonists.
Enhance Efficiency through Complex Gas and Liquid Simulations:
Create interlocking pipe systems to swiftly deliver fuel and liquid to critical areas of your base. Plan well and be rewarded as your colony transforms into an imperishable, well-oiled machine.
Take Charge with Power Grid Simulations:
Choose from a multitude of power sources including coal, hydrogen, natural gas or just plain old elbow grease. Manage power runoff, circuit overloads and meltdowns to keep your colony running smoothly.
Always Keep Yourself Breathing:
Enter the Oxygen Overlay and watch air moving through your base in real-time. Monitor carbon dioxide accumulation and oversee oxygen generation processes to mold your colony into a veritable deep-space oasis.
Waste Nothing through Extreme Recycling:
Make use of every last resource for a base that truly exemplifies efficiency. Recycle waste into precious fuel, process unbreathable gas into air, or harness the natural bodily processes of wild creatures for food. If you’re clever, you might even be able to run a base off colonist farts.
Explore Diverse, Procedurally Generated New Worlds:
Summon new worlds with a push of a button. Experience tons of untamed space rocks, then suffocate to death in them!
-------------------
Spaced Out DLC:
The Duplicants are back again, and this time they're ready to rebuild their colonies from the mysterious remains of a planet torn asunder!
In Oxygen Not Included: Spaced Out! you'll spearhead space missions to new and undiscovered Planetoids, transport resources between bases, and manage multiple worlds on the fly to build a megacolony that not only survives but hopefully, thrives.
New Multi-World Gameplay
Put your colony management skills to the test by juggling the needs of Duplicants in multiple colonies simultaneously. Switch between planets in real-time and secure rare resources on other worlds to supply your home base.
Expanded Rocketry
Customize new modular rockets to your liking, then explore the expanse of space with the newly overhauled Starmap. Huge expansions to the Research Tree provide new mid-game Rocketry options, giving your Duplicants an edge in the asteroid space-race.
New Critters
Get acquainted with some new fuzzy friends - if you're nice, they might help you out around the colony!

I just finished watching the previous episode and if ur still wondering what happened to that one wheeze wort I have an answer! (Happened to me multiple times) The wort was on snow and you dug below it, the snow fell and the seed got trapped in the fallen snow at the bottom of the ladder, you dug up the fallen snow and that's how u got it back! (Tho in terms of the other wheeze worts, I have no idea)
@salemprompthous3820

Could be someone passed over an inaccessible place, went to lunch, and the seeds got trapped. After installing the "No Drop" mod, this has never been an issue for me, though the gravity-affected materials is a different matter.

You can use Oxyferns to convert CO2 ot oxygen, or ship Oxylite produced somewhere to planetoids that need oxygen
@Nathans-Sandbox
@Nathans-Sandbox 2 года назад
👍
@hermes6969
@hermes6969 Год назад
sir, try this.... make space for 2 hydr farms with oxyferns and a tamed plug slug in your habitation module.. if you snake some pipes the oxyferns have more than enough water and the plug slug will charge your battery module to full every night with 1400watts. now you keep your oxygen piping jic the oxyferns can't keep up. Also great in combo with jet suits as they can supply some additional carbon for the oxyferns.. It's amazing, did 200 data banks in one go. Later you could even ditch the battery module as well as the solar nosecone for drill and cargo modules as the plug slug will deliver more than enough power.. btw, no need to really feed the slug except if they're about to starve as if they're hungry and glum they'll produce 80% less hydrogen. now to take it to the next level, as soon as you can land on a new planetoid you can take the plug slug out and use it as initial power supply for setting up beacon and payload opener or a rocket port unloader. Now you have access to everything on the go.. power, supplies etc.. One more thing to round it up hehe, there's a mod that's really amazing and that should have been in the game since forever, called suit recharger.. if you can fit this in, you have fuel and some oxygen for your suits and you don't need to waste time building latters everywhere.. like c'mon jet suits are so amazing but almost useless for space travel where they should actually thrive bc you run out of fuel and dupes get trapped in the middle of nowhere not able to get back to the module

Why not have the storages at the same level and have the reflectors go diagonal to the next? There would be less tadpole loss and everything would be cleaner

@salemprompthous3820

True. 600w, but only when in transit. The battery modules are more useful when building a portable base (1 or more rovkets with colonizing teams, one rocket with a living module, other rockets for transport with some battery modules that can support the excavation efforts. Battery can also be charged on the ground, ready to move on to the next planetoid (this is directly off @Francis John's last series, so definately works))

I remember this trick from another streamer (I believe it was blitz after dark) that allowed you to have a limitless gas storage system. I don't know if it was patched, but how it worked was you had a chamber with a gas pump and a gas vent, the gas vent was slightly underwater so it would not get overpressured and would continue pumping even if the pressure would make it go into a supercritical fluid, I do remember that the amount of fluid that you needed to have in there was very finicky.

Loving the videos and I'm excited to see the rover army destroy the new planetoid! I assumed you wouldn't get more dupes just to help with other planetoids because as you said, once everything is done there will just be a lot of idle dupes and also you're always holding out for the perfect dupes right? It wouldn't be the Ultimate base if you didn't have the ultimate dupes!

I prefer using 2 inputs for interplanetary material transfer using a memory toggle. I.e. for the tree that eats food, I set a weight plate where I drop the food for the tree that turns on the transfer from 1st planet (set to be below 1kg) and hydro sensor when I start pumping the resin back that turns off the food transfer. then in the main planetoid, i do the food transfer storage to be constructed over a mechanical airlock so when it's open, dupes doesn't fill the storage. similar idea can be applied for your water tank. I rather go with open reservoir with back up tank. reservoir to have 2 hydro sensors (high and low level, inputs can be inversed via sensor itself). overflow from tank to top up the reservoir. mini pump to top up the tank. thanks for the fun series by the way.

On Crudial, u can cook up frost buns from naturally grown sleat wheats all over the map, just open up paths to the plants to have access (if u dont mind gases and temp mixing). You can also set it all to disable harvest and let it drop naturally to minimise dupe labor Similar with Vivani, there should be mealwood and other plants to use naturally, especially with pips unlocked. Id really like to see growing natural farms as a tutorial/guide too!

I wonder what's your plan regarding oil drilling - your current radbolt setup would provide barely enough water for one oil well (and only if you won't be supplying any other asteroid via launchers)?
@Nathans-Sandbox
@Nathans-Sandbox 2 года назад
We have 4 oil wells which will most likely overproduce the amount of oil we require. The goal is to create backups that fill up during downtime. There will be times we need to send over larger quantities, but there will also be long down times with oil wells not actively taking out water. Later on, if demand exceeds radbolt production, then we need to change the system into something more agressive.
