I was testing the rockets yesterday, ad found out that instead of putting a large oxidizer tank and a large liquid fuel tank on a petroleum engine, you can use 2 small oxidizer tanks; this way you'll bring the same amount of oxidizer - 450*2=900 - but only using 4 tiles instead of the 5 tiles a large tank takes. So you can grab an artifact while your mining out in space. Hope this was helpful

its still only 10 tiles range though, with one large fuel tank- not too many drillcone options in the roundtrip

My Moral High ground achievement I got just by having a big great hall with an insane amount of decor and grubfruit preserve. I'd just recommend using a great hall in a bigger research rocket.

Starting at the 3:56 portion, I talk about specific POIs requiring specific Cargo Modules to be able to be Drillcone'd. That has been patched and you no longer require the "Main-Type" Resource to be able to mine. Instead you can choose to bring one Module to extract the type of resource of your choice at the cost of Diamond. That is, you can bring only a Gas Cargo Module to extract only Carbon Dioxide from the Forested Ore Field and not Igneous Rock or Aluminum Ore. Good Change IMO!

havent plaid since rad update, didnt realize the chute inside the rocket. Does everything enter the ship at a reasonable temo? Since obviously ice would be cold would anything burn them?

im not sure what determines the temp of the items entering- i think the temperatures do range and are tied to the POI, that is they should be at a pre-determined temperature. problem is, i dont actually know the chart of each item/POI

Hey I realize this video is months old but at 4:48 you talk about being required to pick up the liquid tungsten if you want the other materials because the drillcone wont operate. that statement is completely untrue. If you send a rocket there without a liquid cargo tank you just lose the liquid and eat up diamond from trying to drill it but you still get the other materials.

did it get patched out? if it did, that is great because the old mechanic where the POI randomly picks a "main" cargo type and doesnt work without was pretty lame

Does it still only subtract the extracted mass? Or does the mass still harvest fully deleting the resources for the cargo you don't have?

Subtracted from the POI total, right? thats a good question. I'm not 100% sure about that, but it should only be what's extracted.

I was able to get wolframite from the glimmering asteroid without liquid storage. Maybe that was patched.

sweet info. i can never progress after midgame after a year or so and billions of starting over. gave up today and doing no sweat hoping i can get close to beating it haha

@@2LegitCity ah no the learning stuff is great. I mostly play while I'm binging on TV shows so I play slow anyway. FFW speedruns isn't my thing its the journey and your tips are excellent !
