Waking up every day, eating out at my local family style restaurant, taking to new people and making friends, complementing someone each and every day, bird watching, rainy days, fresh fallen snow, reading books, knitting, crocheting, silly babies, and finally holding hands with my hubby.

My dolls make me smile. I'm disabled, I have ms, and there are a lot of things I can no longer do. I so enjoy changing my dolls clothes and fixing their hair and photographing them to post pictures in my Facebook doll groups.❤

I live in southeast texas and l love looking out my kitchen window and seeing nothing but big tall pine trees , no buildings or concrete . Also being able to see my two grown sons makes me happy . Seeing someone being kind to another, be it a person or animal , always makes me smile . 💕 🙂

Hey, Miss Kayla! What used to make me smile was getting in my kitchen and making everything homemade. Breads, bagels, soft pretzels, pizza, you name it. I even used to make homemade candy. But, since I'm disabled and stuck in a recliner 24/7, my cooking days are no more. Now, I have a new reason to be happy--my 7-year-old grandson! He makes my heart smile. What brings me joy is being around my grandchildren and watching them play or enjoying life. What makes me smile is seeing children running and playing and laughing. I, too, talk to little children in the store and love it. Being happy is when I am with my husband of 46 years and able to relax together. Also, I get happy singing and playing the piano. Or listening to music that I can sing along with. I love creating things that others can use or is beautiful. Hummingbirds and cardinals make me smile because they remind me of my sister and my brother who have both gone to heaven. Teresa

There are a few things that make me smile, when my daughter says she loves me. When I look out my window windows and see all the wildlife, when i make something for a loved one and it fits and they love it. Being able to just sit with a ball of yarn and knit or crochet something ,it’s always a surprise to me what it turns into. One of my favourite things in life is visiting my friends llama and alpaca farm and seeing all them. I also look forward to to seeing you and big daddy,you always make me smile 🙏❤️🙏

I have a daily routine where I dedicate an hour to 'elevating' which is playing happy music and doing whatever art I gravitate towards. The routine is part of how I'm overcoming my chronic symptoms, by changing the amount of feel good hormones I'm giving my brain each day. More feel good hormones means a reduction in stress and pain levels. Doing it each day over time will make it easier and easier for the brain to go to the good. I learnt all about it in my research about pain, its working! Sorry I've spammed the comment section, you just bring up such good topics!

Good morning Kayla it’s Tuesday morning I’m Barb Maksymetz and I have a lot of things that make me happy first of all my kids. My daughter will be 47 on the 14th of July and my baby just turned 40, they are my world, I love so many things to do from crocheting, sewing, painting, art, Diamond painting to crafting (wreath, centrepieces), my brother is getting married they asked me to make wrist corsages, boutineers, brides bouquet,,centrepieces on head table, cooking, baking, gardening-which is difficult because I walk with a walker but I just plug along. Just being thankful I wake up in the morning to enjoy another day. Watching you color makes me want to bring out my colouring book and is so relaxing. I have a lot of health issues being a health care provider but I try really hard to do the best I can. I enjoy so much watching your videos you are amazing Kayla, Love you so much, may God Bless you, Big Daddy, your Sons and have a Great Day and Take Care❤️❤️❤️

Makes sense about the crayons, the scent can take you back to childhood and the emotional state you had back then. Art is very meditative, the mind can only concentrate on one thing at a time. So when colouring your mind can only concentrate on the job at hand of keeping colours in the lines and covering the area and NOT worrying about the past/future. That gives your mind and body a break from the worrying and stress that you usually think about, making you feel better. It's a great tool but also a big sign that you need to relax! We need to be aware of what we choose to fill our minds with as it does affect us. Our bodies can't tell the difference between stress hormones from watching something/thinking about something vs real life, so being careful with what you look at on social media (and what you choose to think about!) is a big thing. These days I stick to feel good stuff as I found it can affect my pain levels.

I really get job from reading and audio books. My son is just shy of 7 so he is at a fun age and that definitely beings me joy. Crochet, vegetable gardening and I also keep chickens. Those all bring me joy. Watching things grow and thrive with tlc makes my heart so happy. ❤

What makes me smile? I would have to say the Lord Jesus! I love learning about him and reading about him. My Son Jonny, makes me smile! Crocheting makes me smile ! Going to church makes me smile. Small dogs bring me joy. I'm the dog lady that speaks to all the dogs that I see. My 4 Chihuahuas bring me a lot of joy! I love them very much. They love me unconditionally. My favorite activities that I enjoy are doing plastic canvas, loom knitting, reading books, doing puzzle books, watching movies and going to classic car shows.

What makes me happy? 1) Watching you color; 2) Work at perfecting my box brownie baking; 3) Watching RU-vid videos about the strange, mysterious sightings or experiences, and about bizarre crimes; 4) Crocheting simple things like scrunchies and granny squares; 5) Browsing through Amazon like I'm window shopping; 6) Practicing coloring simple objects with my new pencils; 7) Playing word search on my phone; 8) Sitting, chilling, and watching RU-vid after I've showered and falling asleep while doing that; 9) Making a small one pound loaf of bread in my little bread machine; 10) Seeing a friendly dog in passing who looks happy to just be out and about with Mom or Dad. ❤

The wildlife around my home makes me smile, especially the cotton tail bunnies. I love to see the birds that come back year after year makes me smile as well. I have no routine with my crafts. Whatever grabs me in the morning I do for an hour or so then I do some kind of household chore or yardwork then time for my crafts, I usually have an idea what I want to work on. In the evening I usually work on something. I have added to my crafts, courtesy of you and work that into my routine as well. Joy to me is living my retirement life the way I want. Being at home and making the way I wanted to retire my reality. Watching you daily brings me happiness as well.

When I think about it so many things brings me joy. My Grandkid's when I see them and they laugh or playing. My cat when she does something funny. Wild animals outside, butterflies, flowers. Picking on my husband. Making people laugh. Crafting, crochet, sewing, scrapbooking. Helping others. Babies laughing. Swimming. Memories of family and friends. Ice cream. I love to be near the water and just sit and watch. So many things God has given us.

It makes me happy to do creative things, and I get a lot of joy from making things and learning how to do new things crafty. I get a lot of joy from being with others and doing things together, seeing pretty wildflowers, and my flower garden, playing with my little dog and watching her have fun. And puppy videos! When I don't feel good enough to do anything else, I watch crafting tutorials on RU-vid. I get a lot of great ideas from content creators, and enjoy the process of learning how to do things. People are so stinking creative and genius about figuring out how to do things and then sharing it with the world!

You have inspired me to be able to admit to myself that some yarn colors aren't working for me, and it's OK to not be so structured in my color choices. For the first time I am making a big granny baby blanket and just randomly deciding colors and rounds as I go! That is bringing me joy--I mostly make donation projects, and some yarns just don't work up as pretty as they are in the skein.

I don’t schedule anything but doctors appointments, lol. I just do what I can or what I feel like. I’m organizing a few rooms in my house, very slowly, so when I get overwhelmed with that, I grab my crochet, colouring books or anything else that looks relaxing and fun. Or, I head outside and do a bit of gardening.

Time with my grandkids brings me joy! Spending time with my guy we remember stuff from the last 40+ years is fun. Talking to little kids in the store, I am happy. My boys were buds until the youngest started branching out on his own that tapered off. I used to write and studying for my Masters in Mental Health Counseling brought me joy but since my stroke, relearning and reconnecting to that craft is challenging but I have room to rediscover. I have been highly amused by RU-vid videos of late!

Besides the obvious (my boys) I smile when I'm driving and see a dog with his/her head hanging out the window. A cat sitting in a window sill waiting for their owner to come home. I smile when I've finished a crochet project. I smile when I eat ice cream. I love coloring, crocheting, doing puzzles and cuddles with my cat. I have 4 cats but only one let's me snuggle and hold him.

The biggest thing that makes me smile and brings pure joy is my family. One of my sons lives across the street and one of my daughters lives around the corner from me. That means I can see at least 7 of my grandchildren almost daily. 🥰 My other kids (7 total) are usually visiting at least one of us, so I get to see them and my other 9 grandkids here and there. 🥰 I don’t leave home much, so it’s nice that they’re close by. 💕

So many things make me smile, and I'm always so grateful for it. I love cute things, silly things, and all things happy. It makes me smile that you surround yourself with them, because I recognize those same feelings in myself along with you. I think it's a very healthy thing, being aware of negativity of the world, yet holding your feet up to keep yourself above the mire, to not get sucked down into it. I'll tell you first that I am blessed to have a conglomeration of kids in my life between the ages of 3 and 13. Grandkids, great nieces and nephews, and my kid's friend's children. What brings me joy is crafting, sewing, playing games, and watching movies with them. The bonus is when i get a FaceTime call showing me what they've tried to crochet or something they built. The best is that twice I've been blessed with a homework assignment about someone in their life, and it was me! Talk about smiling 😃 ❤. The other thing that makes me smile and calms me is listening to and watching 👀 you!!! 😂😊

I enjoy crocheting quilting plastic canvas embroidery coloring gardening. It justcseems i cant get anything done. My house is full of kids and grandkids and nobody will leave me alone long enough. I used to enjoy sitting on the porch in the morning with a cup of coffee and listening to the birds and watching the rabbits and wildlife.

Birds make me happy, composing, crocheting plushies for market and my grandchildren, playing music. Watching your videos always make me happy. I really like your horak! SUDUKO, I grew up thinking math was boring but now doing sudokus and also video games makes me happy.

Hmmmmmm What makes me happy? A beautiful sunset that makes me feel like I am the only one seeing it and its just for me. That despite me, my kids are successful 😆 My beautiful, almost 3yo, grand child who has shown me the wonders of the universe that I have forgotten in all my adulting. Sunday she was enthralled and delighted with the sunlight dancing off the pool water. She said with excitement and joy, "look nana! sparkling water!!". She makes me dirt pancakes and I love it. I don't think smelling crayons would make me nearly as happy as smelling playdough. 😂 I am doing an art journal with grand baby I just wrote about. I got her a notebook, stickers, some foam paint stampers, paint, pom poms, chenille stick thingys and some glue sticks.

Such a good question we need to ask ourselves. What brings me joy? I like to see people expressing themselves in their clothing, their art. To see in their clothing ways they express their soul. What makes me happy? To see those I love to be happy, to be with my fur babies. To express myself with my clothing and art makes me happy. My favorite colours and patterns spark joy, no matter what it is. Art brings me joy, drawing, designing, crochet, whichever medium I choose in that moment. Expression, bringing my soul outwards for others to see brings me joy. I also like playing guitar and singing, I want to try song writing in the future. I love loads of things. Thank you for bringing these into focus as I definitely need it!

Hi Kayla, as well as crochet and knitting I enjoy making my own soap and candles, I used to make my own handcream using herbs I grow in the garden. My granddaughter makes me smile she's so funny, I love doing things with her and my children and husband make me happy. Like you when they are happy I am happy. I have four grown up children, there is 10 years between my oldest son and my second son I have two girls after those but my two sons are best friends too, they enjoy the same hobbies, been camping to music festivals together etc. I don't think the age gap matters at all to them 😊

What brings me Joy? Exploring the great outdoors. Taking pictures of that beauty for later or to share. Bringing a smile to others with kind words. Loving on my pets. Yes, watching your videos. Creating pillowcases...it's the joy of choosing the fabrics to put together one of a kind useful item and giving them away! In the past, I enjoyed teaching Ladys Bible class. I LOVE getting closer to the Lord!

Just stopping to say hi. Our highest today was 73 and off and on sun shine and rain. Blessings, hugs and prayers to you and your family. Went shopping for some much needed groceries. Just like you I love seeing the small children in the store. Today I struck up a conversation with a cute little two year old who was with her grandma Washed a load of clothes and stirred up a batch of banana, oatmeal cookies. I love crocheting too when I sit down for a bit. Am ready to pick up the teddy bear kit I bought at the dollar tree. Have you ever bought any of those kits? They are a bit of a mystery to crack the code but I finally am able to proceed with finishing the little fellow.
