Now I'll be honest, I've known about correcting and concealing for a long while now. I knew a decent amount of it but still struggled from time to time. This video not only helped to refresh things for me, but it also taught me some new things too. You really went in with this and there isn't a better/more informative video than yours here. First off, I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS‼️I love how you break everything down for a novice like myself😊 Even though I'm in the 40s club, I'm new to all of these techniques. I have always been a makeup minimalist. I basically used foundation (powder or liquid), concealer (when i had a pimple), lipstick or gloss, and eyeliner. I gave up on wearing foundation because i could never find my shade and no matter how hard i tried, I couldn't cover my horrible hyperpigmentation on my cheeks😩 Thank you for all your wonderful videos❤️❤️

This is very useful. It seems all I ever see or hear is that orange corrector is what you should use if you're medium or dark skinned and that's not necessarily true. I've recently started using the L.A. Girl Pro yellow concealer on my under-eye area and mixing it with the orange one. Love the result, it looks so much brighter.

Peach Lustre by MAC is my go to. I get dark circles from my glasses, so color correcting changes the game when I wear my contacts🙌

G'Day there! Firstly, you're a gorgeous woman, truly a natural beauty. I hope you get to read this.. I'm a 41 year old pale, freckled Aussie woman here (with very obvious hyperpigmentation all up each side of my neck and part of my face, learning to colour correct atm) - just finding your channel. I started makeup a year ago, on my 40th. A friend bought me a palette and brushes. I'd never put on more than mascara, a liner and lip gloss to go anywhere special before then. Now I can't stop playing/collecting so much, that I'm considering a career change! THANKYOU so much. You've taught me so much about correcting in this video, than twenty others by the so called 'gurus'.. (except Jackie. She has taught me heaps about eyes, and correcting, too) I have started to use some of those LA girl pro conceal correctors as an eyeshadow base. They work lovely to help the pigmentation of a not so pigmented shadow... Kinda like the P Louise ones? The ones that are about $29-35 a piece here. (Though I've bought a few of those. Too) P.S. Your voice is definitely a God given talent.. I hope I hear more of it binge watching your channel! Thankyou again and God Bless.

Being pregnant has given me acne like I haven't seen since my teen years and it leaves scars. My new go to for covering that has been a tiny bit of orange LA girl corrector then put the Nars Amande concealer (the cream one in a jar) on a small brush to blend the two products together. Add foundation afterward and I look like my old acne free self again! I'm soooo ready for my due date lol

I totally love you personality! I’m a 63 year old African American woman. I’m retired and rarely use make up any more. I do suffer with super hyperpigmentation. The only corrector I currently have is LA Girl. I’m glad I watched your tutorial because I put that mess on and you could see the orange cross country! Frustrated to say the least. I’m going to try and mix it with a light yellow and experiment. Thank you so much for your time!

If you set with powder make sure you blend it out before, or it will show up in a weird pattern under your foundation

I definitely recommend for people to set their cc just so it doesn't move and doesn't mix with your foundation and if you get one too deep it won't show through, if it's too light it will add more coverage. Also I see people put it on top of their foundation. Then their concealer turns out the colour of the cc so I suggest to always use it under your foundation.

I have had hormonal acne during my pregnancy with both kids it was horrible. Now my acne is cleared but the scars remain. I use ponds (for family dollar) and nuetrogena dark spot corrector and it work! My spots have lightened but now I need a new concealer to cover the spots bc my face skin isn’t the same tone anymore. Point is; THANK U FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO lol that’s what led me here at 5 am

I love correcting as of lately because of ladystache & beard redness, dark contour in the hollows of my cheeks and blemishes(so many problem areas😣) I use a peach corrector for darkness and the green for redness sometimes. It makes a huge difference when than when I don't correct. Love how you teach

I tried the Elf Color Correcting Stick for dark skin tones this morning and it worked so well!! Even though I'm light/medium skin, my dark circles can be very dark. I used the small sponge from the Elf Precision Sponge Trio to blend it out but will try my fingers next time. Thanks for the great video!

This was more useful in increasing my understanding of correctors. Could you please make a short list of some of the less expensive correctors that have a lower price point then Mac, Sephora or Lancome and which I can find in Canada - especially at Shoppers Drug Mart. They are across the country and my go-to for makeup. Where I live right now, not very many Black, Brown or Women of Colour until very recently and no people of colour working in the cosmetic departments. Thank you. I learned a lot.
