Yeh, I've tried orange, it doesn't help and then it merges with the foundation. I've given up and stopped wearing foundation, concealer etc.

Foundation under eyes is to avoided as its thicker than a liquid concealer.. there are correctors that aren't just bright orange but just looks like flesh tone but they have a strong peach under tone to them and they WILL conceal that darkness. Swedish brands like make up store and FACE stockholm makes these.. MAC will probably have them too and bobbi brown as well

@@mophead_xu I have smile lines and forehead lines but, I don't use an arsenal of products. I wash, use a niacin product to tighten pores and seal it with a peptide serum. In the daytime I use a high SPF sunscreen(I easily freckle)and sunglasses are a must. I'm lazy and it works for me.😀 The older I get, I find less products, means less confusion and I'm able to tell what really works for me. Like eyecreams turned out to be a waste of a lot of good money, so I gave those up. Good luck, in your adventure to find what works for you. P.S. I did the same for hair care..my nickname is Product Junkie.😁 I've tried A LOT.

I love that Wayne remembers that most of us are regular people who just want to look better and that are lives don't revolve around makeup. When I do wear makeup, it looks so much better now at 60 then it did when I was younger and didn't know better. Thank you Wayne.

I swear, every time I watch a bunch of videos on a new topic (for me), I always come back to Wayne bc he makes it so simple and logical. I just learned about color correctors and purchased several, then realized I didn't know what the hell I was doing bc I was trying to do it like most of the RU-vidrs are doing it. Since I turned 30 I started using just powder foundation and concealer for something like day out. It looks so much better and not heavy at all unlike all creamy, liquid products that tend to crease easily x

Yes as artist myself I find this approach to be much easier for me to understand, and it's helping me teach what I have learned to my artist mother in her 70's. She has always been the natural type wearing only a tame lipstick and mascara, no foundation, concealer, eye shadow, liner etc...which worked great for her when she was younger. I was a genX punk rocker so I wore lots of fun eye makeup which I got pretty creative with in non traditional ways, but I only ever wore any sort of concealer or foundation when I was in weddings(lots of pictures), I just never liked the heavy makeup look, nor did I feel like I really needed it. Now as I hit my 40's and recovering from COVID I find myself with dark rings under my eyes and every concealer that I have tried just looks cracked and cakey right away. I just want a way to conceal issues like this while still having my natural skin showing in most places....That and a good setting spray for eye area, I didn't realize back in the day that it was all the hairspray from my mohawks that was keeping my eye makeup in place ..😆 Oh and if anyone has a tip for the kind of bumpy chicken skin that can happen under eyes, it comes and goes but I don't know what is causing it. But at least now I'm understanding basics that all these social media influencers made look so ridiculous and made no sense to me. Now it seems that there are far better products and if I can find the right ones I think I should be able to do what I want it to do.

This video was amazing! You addressed a “hiccup” I keep creating with my concealer. I have super dark under eye circles. I use a peach color corrector & a concealer. By the time i am done, my eye begins to recede & look smaller. I began toying with a light brown/taupe shadow to give some color back but I wasn’t sure if that was the right move. You addressed that & now I can confidently apply that “correction” on my lower lash line. Thanks 😊

This video is so important!! And a great understanding of the color wheel. If you put too much red/pink color corrector on with a foundation that has a yellow undertone, your going to be orange all day, or too much blue corrective with a foundation/concealer that oxidizes too yellow your going to look green all day. So definitely follow this advice!! Love your videos 💖💖💖

The first time I used colour correction I followed a YT vid. I looked horrendous! Less is definitely more. Seeing the illusion of of the "small eye" due to concealer placement, has me totally shook. It was so strange looking from one eye to the other. 😂😂

You are the ONLY influencer I've seen do it this way and I must say I appreciate it! I thought something was wrong with me, like I couldn't ever finish blending. I love you so much! These are the colours I have been using for 15 years. No kidding. I started using them after following a famous makeup artist whom I won't name unless asked. Anyway, she promoted these colours and they totally changed my makeup routine. They are meant to provide an optical illusion without being obvious. You are dead on how to apply and use them. Thank you for teaching me real make up. I felt ugly, weird and incapable of using make up because most youtubers and instagramers use techniques that don't work on real life. I also have folded eyelids and I'm working on learning how to do do them since with all the covid-19 stuff I had to stop o use make up on my lips. They were the focus of my make up.

This was a wonderful example of how to color correct! I use the CT corrector under my eyes but only in the inner corner where I have blue tint. I don't usually use concealer as that makes it too heavy. I then apply a light to medium coverage foundation with a sponge an bounce it in my skin. It just looks so much better. Your technique here will help me deal with other issues that I have wanted to tackle. Thank you!

100% agree with this and I do this technique everyday. Often I don’t even put foundation over the top as once you’ve evened out the colour there’s no need. Good tips as always ❤️
