Colorado has done it again! They are the #3 spot to retire in the US based on rankings from Kiplinger and Wallethub. We cover the pros and cons of retiring in Colorado and talk about life in Denver, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, Grand Junction and more! Don't miss out on discussions of tax friendliness, weather, healthcare and other reasons to love (or hate) Colorado for your retirement!
Here's the link for your free South Denver Retirement Relocation Guide too!

Hi! I'm Alyson, a full time Realtor® with Keller Williams DTC. My family and I are long-time Coloradans (husband and kids are native...I'm the lone transplant). We have moved and relocated out of Colorado and back and even bought a house by FaceTime tour WAY before that was common.
I am married to a Coach, have two amazing kids, and three adopted dogs. Give me coffee and you'll see me smile. Coffee in the mountains is even better! I love getting in a hike with my family when we can.
If you have kids, dogs, or love coffee, we can chat for hours--Oh, and we can talk real estate too :) If you love sports, let me connect you with my husband LOL.

You’v pretty much convinced me to move to Colorado, my husband and I currently live in Oregon and needless to say..I’ll leave it at that. We can move anywhere in the country but would like to live in a pretty state that has all four seasons, we love winters but not the harsh ones they experience in all northern states - Colorado seems to fit all our wants and needs.

Well, I say you should :) I have loved living here. Are you on the "dry" side of Oregon, or the "lush" side of Oregon?

Ugh i wish rich people would stop moving here. Pricing me out of my hometown...

Both beautiful places! I still don't know if I could do a Tennessee summer...I don't think I've shaken off the years of suffering through "hot South" yet (still!). But I appreciate all the trees east of the Mississippi!

Very informative! We are planning to retire to New Mexico in 5 years, we love it but have concerns about the crime, poverty and healthcare. Colorado is on our radar, hopefully we'll visit soon and see if it's for us.

Hope you get to make that trip this year - the weather is great up here this year. It's so nice and cool (we'll ignore talking about the near daily hail...if it comes with cooler temps, that's fine by me:) Thanks for watching!

Stay away from Salida and Buena Vista, it’s terrible! Just joking. It’s just very expensive. Great video from a builder and my real estate wife. I’ve been here all my life (62).

Unless you are wealthy, like worth millions you can’t retire in Colorado. Maybe if you can hack it off grid in rural area but I don’t see many 60 70 80 year olds doing that. From Fort Collins to Colorado Springs you need over $500 k just for an older starter home or townhome. And that extends east to about a hour outside Denver. Most mountain towns worth living are about a million for a condo unless again you can live without a grocery within an hour. I plan to move from Colorado to retire

As someone who has lived in Virginia, I can’t imagine it ranking highly as a place to retire. There are far too many taxes.

Hi Geethika, I'm happy to connect for a personal conversation. Social Media isn't the best spot for offering insight and counsel beyond the YT content :) If you'd like to chat, feel free to email at Live South Denver at Gmail dot com.

Thanks for watching! Plenty of retirees still love their snow sports here :) I have folks with snow mobiles, skis, snowboards, and more. Many of them are more active than families with jobs and kids at home.....living the life they dreamed of while doing their 9-5
