Have you been to Breckenridge, CO?
I haven’t. 😅 Almost though- as I hopped on the wrong bus that afternoon. 🙈 Oh, but not before hopping into a bush every couple hundred feet. I had assumed that Segment 6 was a very popular biking area until I learned about the Breck Epic.🚲
It was race day and we were sharing the trail with 500 bikers. 99% of bikers thanked us for giving the right of way, but I’ll never forget one biker lady who shouted “go hikers!” as she flew down the mountain. Yes. Go hikers. 🥲🫶🏼
After a 15-mile hike and finally reaching the 100-mile marker on the CT, I was ready to be in town, chilling for the rest of the evening. After 22 bus stops, a trip at the local grocery store, I didn’t check in until 6PM & with my luck just about everything I needed closed around 7PM.
With the to-do list I had, I’d be spending my first true zero in Dillon, CO. Never have I ever took a true zero, so trust that I had no idea what to do with myself.
