📍Lime Creek to Junction Creek bridge
With the weather in the forecast for our last few days, we’ve decided to push through! I’m eating all of my snacks way too fast, but we’ve got less than 50-miles to go! We ran into nasty weather one afternoon stopping us as early as 3PM and then continued to rain the entire night.
Black Hawk Pass was beautiful. Very gloomy weather, but the pass itself wasn’t terrible. We hung out at the top for a while. Well, I munched on some crackers and Nutella before making our way down. It rained the next day, and everything including socks and shoes were soaked. The sun never came out that day, so waking up to wet socks and shoes was NOT fun!
I can’t believe we’re almost done! Tomorrow, we’ll make it to Durango and I’m not too sure how I feel about it yet.
This afternoon before reaching camp, we were making lunch on the trail and got charged at by a cow. Never a dull moment here. I didn’t even think cows charged at people?!
Tomorrow, we hike 14.5 miles to Durango!
