We definitely need to do it! First, the series is currently is the best on the market, and I'm happy that they don't stop despite market being full of cheap AI trash competitors. And second, lol, if we color in their books more frequently, it's a great excuse to allow ourselves to purchase new books in the series.

@@ColoringwithAlena I agree! A great series! As far as AI goes, using AI to make coloring books without stating it’s AI is deceptive. Some look good but they lack the creative element we love that only a human can give a drawing. Happy New Year, Alena!

Hi Alena, your artwork is stunning. Have you ever been asked professionally to color children's books? I would love to see your work on display in these books.

Thank you! No, never. I guess that market is full of professional artists capable to draw illustrations, not only to color them, and I think that with arrival of AI, demand for illustrators work soon will be considerably reduced, sadly.

These are my favorite coloring books. Perfect size, single sided, hand drawn (I do agree Fusi uses digital clip art.. and one of the new artists released this year was really awful obvious clipart.. I hope this won't get worse in the future, because I won't buy if it does), and great paper. I could just have these and be a happy girl. Be aware the Mythogoria have different paper.. thinner, smoother. Still better than the average Amazon printed book but not as good as the regular series. I laughed when you showed the first stack of them.. then another entire stack lol. I just bought my tenth in the series myself. I could just color those for the next five years and not finish but I still keep getting the next because they are so lovely. It's the only series I collect like that. I'm going to have to give them their own bookshelf soon.

I'm collecting these books too, except for the ones with hidden objects. I'm a very slow colorist, and the pages already take me so long to complete, so I don't want to have the burden of also trying to over up the hidden objects as well. I bought Deep Blue recently and I really don't like when artists mix body parts from different animals. There's a beautiful page with a giraffe that I was looking forward to coloring but I didn't realize until I received the book that the giraffe has the tail of a fish 😩. And there are other animals like that in the book. I really love Joseph Catimbang's work. I think he's my favorite Mythographic artist. My most recent Mythographic book is Labyrinth and there are pages that I will never color, but there are some pages that are really stunning and I will definitely color them! I'm looking forward to some new ones that are coming out, such as Shangri La and another one that I forgot the title but it's something about Summer.

@@nicole_silvers I won't do the hidden objects either, even though I want to color Animals and Aquatic so badly.. they are two of the first books and just filled with junk. I made an exception for Odyssey and Wild Winter.. both are Catimbang (who is also my favorite) and the objects are both fewer and fit in the page much better, so they can stay in. He was rebelling against them even before the series stopped using them. There is a lovely giraffe in Wild Winter, and no fish tail lol. It's sticking it's head up through a spiral staircase, in the middle of trees if I remember correctly.. it was the second page I ever did in the book so it's been a couple of years. There are a bunch of fancy lanterns. The staircase took forever to color but it's beautiful completed.

@@waymire01 I couldn't agree more! And Catimbang is my favorite too! He's the only one that I will buy his books without watching a flip through video first! I've been thinking about getting Wild Winter, and after reading your comment, I think I will go ahead and get it! I'd love to see your finished page with the staircase! Are you on FB or instagram?

@@nicole_silvers Nope lol.. I don't have time to fuss with social media.. I work long hours and just color for myself. I used to paint (acrylic and watercolor) but no time since going back to work a few years ago, so coloring became my art therapy.. faster and more portable. If you look online there are many flip throughs of the book.. the giraffe is only a few pages in. That page is also one of the ones on the sale page for the book on Amazon. The first or second page is oranda goldfish and that one alone was worth it for me, I adore exotic goldfish and he draws them perfectly. Coloring the ice and snow on every page can get a bit monotonous so I tend to rotate between books since they all have a bit different theme.

@@waymire01 I totally understand! I homeschool my daughter so my time for coloring is limited but it's really nice when school is out and I have a lot of time to color as much as I want! But when I worked, I never had time for coloring because I worked many hours and I was so tired all of the time that I would use free time for naps lol!

Your creations are very beautiful what do you do to cover the hidden objects
@ColoringwithAlena
@ColoringwithAlena Месяц назад
It depends from the place of the 'hidden' object. On several pictures with dark background I covered them with watercolor or gouache paint. Sometimes I simply color over them with opaque creamy pencils like Prismacolors and additionally mask them with Posca pens. I have videos with all colorings in Mythographic, so you can watch how I struggle with those objects.

I love your coloring pages in these books. Because of the ugly hidden objects, they are not an option for me. I really love the picture on the magical earth, I liked very much the color along videos.

I love these books and have most of them. Not keen on the Fabriana ones though. I have finished 3 and have OCD so have to colour in page order…it’s a long job…ty for sharing and it’s nice to know I’m not on my own…🥰
