Thank you so much 😊 your descriptions of the meanings of each card is really helpful to decide how to colour the images - I really enjoy each video and look forward to the new card, so thank you for all you do ❤️

Mythographic is the book series that got me into coloring. I love the size, the art style and quality of the work, the subjects, the paper, the framing around the edge, the fact that there isn't a ton of background and most have very small people if any.. just everything about them. I have a very low tolerance for the hidden objects as well though. The first books were especially bad in that aspect, which is a real shame because the art is just outstanding. The first book I bought was Wild Winter.. and I found that Joseph started rebelling against the objects well before the series changed to remove them.. way fewer, in less obvious places, and objects that correlated with the subject. This appears to have started with Odyssey, and that is as far "back" in the series that I have purchased. I keep wishing they would release an "object free" version of Animals and Aquatic in particular, I adore those books but just can't with that level of object. I've tried lots of ways to cover them, but nothing found yet that isn't obvious to my eye, and therefore not worth my time in completing a page. I almost always use an alcohol marker base with colored pencil over the top.. I've tried a lot of pencils and while almost all do a great job this way my favorite is Polychromos with pastel colored or white Prisma for highlights (this is my favorite pencil set in general as well). Also lots of glitter/metallic gel pens for accents.. they just don't seem finished without it. I too had issues with losing pages, also in my copies of Bassford and Rosanes (they are not sewn bindings in the US versions).. I took them to my local print shop and had them spiral bound. I now spiral all of my books as the ability to flip them over on themselves and lay them totally flat is so nice. I have found the art quality has deteriorated in the last year, they brought in new artists and started releasing many more books much faster and it's hurt the series. I bought every single one for a while but have gotten much pickier about it lately. My favorite artists are Joseph and Fabiana.

Agree with you on that, the older ones had fabulous artwork apart from the hidden objects. I haven’t felt compelled to buy any of the newer ones…..yet 😉 Thanks for watching.

The unicorn in the mytho book was absolutely stunning and I can’t stand swatching and putting names on the books was pretty funny. Loved everything.

These books are all so lovely❤❤ I totally agree with you about the silly objects, it puts me off the pages as I don’t know how to work them in to my colouring. Loving picking up the little tips for speeding up my pages ❤❤

Hi Jackie, I love your Mythographic colouring. They all look fantastic. I'm with you regarding the hidden objects. I detest them and won't buy books with them (after I got a couple and couldn't get over colouring in them with these silly things). I am happy to stumble across your channel and am trying to catchup with your videos (not in any order). Thanks for your tips! 💜💙💚💛🧡

Thank you for watching, I hope you enjoy the channel 😊 it’s such a shame they did that with Mythographic in the beginning because the art is fabulous, and I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say they enjoy the hidden objects 🤣

You've done some fantastic Mytho pages Jackie, great to see them all together too. I'm on the lookout for a new Mytho, that Wild Winter by Joseph Catimbang, looks good. I agree his drawings /line work is superb.

Thanks for sharing, I’ve definitely been encouraged to go my own way a bit more, and try some faster techniques than pure coloured pencil (was already heading that way). Your methods chime with me so I’m learning a lot.

I have those Denyse Klette books plus Birds in the Forest because I just love her style. I agree that the more graphic style of colouring and the use of markers works well with her art. They are quick little projects. She has a new book coming out in 2025. All your pages are beautiful. I am in awe of your sense of colour. Thank you for sharing. Cheers! 🌟💐
