These have to be the largest colored pencils I’ve ever colored with-the Cretacolor MegaColor Pencils by Brevillie’s. I also purchased The Brilliants Metallic colored pencil set to test and review.
Watch this Cretacolor colored pencils review to see what I think of the size, color and performance of these huge pencils. They are about 70% larger than Prismacolor Premier colored pencils, so you definitely get a lot of product for the money. But how do they color?

That ultramarine is absolutely gorgeous! Be still my heart! I’m thinking these would be really good for people with disabilities, either cognitive or physical. I live in a community designed for people with brain injuries, and one of the artists I used to know here would have benefitted immensely from these. His manual dexterity, and ability to use his arms was diminished, including his grip.

After watching this video I had to get them both. I really like them allot! Like you said they are fun to color with. I love how thick they are. I get arthritis in my hands very badly and coloring with these I can color longer. I'm waiting to get the full set and can't wait! I had to order them from blick cuz where I live(AR) we don't have one. Fun store by the way. I have prismacolors and they are my favorites also. Since I started watching your videos I have learn so much more on how many brands of different color pencils there are. I have gotten CastleArt, Faber Castell Polychromos and really like them too. Thanks for your videos and being an inspiration. Your art work is amazing! Thank you

Love the Fire & Ice mandala...it has a very Star Wars vibe & I hope to give it a whirl. I will be adding the Brilliants to my arsenal . These mega pencils are lovely to use. I have a set of Lyra Mega pencils in Skin tones & I love the feel of them.

I have a full set of Lyra Giants these look v similar, they have standard colours, skin tones and also a pencil with four colours in it I love that one.

These remind me of the Lyra Skin Colour, super Ferby and colour giant pencils in a BIG way. It's got the same....texture, i dont want to say chalky, but definitely dry. I need those metallic pencils 😍

Just to give you an idea … here in Australia 🇦🇺 the same Cretacolor 12 colour pencil set sells here for approx. $43.95 and the Prismacolor 12 set is approx. $33… It’s all so expensive over here, obviously $ conversion and shipping effect prices. But hey 🤷🏼‍♀️. 😃✌🏼💕

Looking at your Cretacolor double hole brand sharperner - look at the botom of the sharpener, it says M+R - and that is top quality in my opinion, just like I see your M+R brass sharpener for smaller pencils. I love M+R sharpeners.

Will you be doing a tutorial workshop for the Fire & Ice for the Bliss Partners like you did for the Grey on Black Mandala? I am just about finished with that Mandala piece & am enjoyed it thoroughly even if maybe because it was out of my comfort zone. Thanks Jennifer...! Also FYI, I bought these beautiful Brilliants & the sharpener. Under the UPC sticker on the bottom of the sharpener it is stamped "Made in Germany", so I imagine this is a good hand sharpener for the price.. To each his own on the Dahle 133, but I prefer something easier on BOTH arthritic hands & expensive pencils.

Seeing how you enjoying pencils shavings, you might enjoy that Swiss cheese called Tête de moine ("monk's head"). It's consumed in a shavings form (yes!) and it's tasty. If you eat/like cheese, it's probably screaming your name :)

Hello there! Lovely video, as always. Cretacolor is actually the brand. THE e " by Brevillier Urban & Sachs" was added after an acquisition in 2008, I believe. You can pronounce it as, Kreh-tah-koh-lor. The "creta" part means clay (but also chalk in other languages). I love your reviews because they are nice and detailed and you bring forth pencils that aren't reviewed as much. Cretacolor is very wide spread here in Romania. Did you try their Nero black pencils?(I have a small review about them up!) All the best , lovely people!

They also have an incredible MegaNeon set, you should definitely check it out! :) Have you tried the Cretacolor Karmina range? I'm wondering how similar the MegaColors are to Karmina (which I don't like very much, they're quite hard and not very pigmented).

I bought the Cretacolor Mega pencils and they are amazing, I recommend them to everyone! They lay down so well and layer beautifully. I went back and ordered the 72 set.

The Cretacolor core alone looks almost larger in diameter than the diameter of the entire Prisma. They look gorgeous! The barrels kinda remind me a little of Luminance or Koh-I-Noor or Daler-Rowney pencils. I really like the look of the woodgrain finish and would rather see just the end caps dipped in the "corresponding paint color".

I'm curious how these Brilliants Metallics compare to the Faber-Castell Eco Metallics (which I've had on my wishlist since watching your Battle of the Metallic Colored Pencils)... Remember, 2x core diameter means 4x the volume. Like the FC Durer Magnus pencils, the price is a bargain by comparison.

There are videos of Cretacolor on RU-vid and they pronounce their own name. The first word sounds French and the second is German. The Megas are great. This is the letal weapon when the paper of my coloring book is not good and even Luminances fail.

The brand is Brevillier's Cretacolor..Cretacolor is not the line..Every product has that name.

Wow! I’ve always enjoyed watching you and your husband Steve. I think you guys have amazing content, are hard working, and very through in what you do. I’ve also ordered a few of your swatch notebooks. That being said I was completely disappointed by all the negative jabs you’ve made on the Chinese products in this video. I’m just as patriotic as the next American but I’m careful not to insult others. The way in which you spoke of their products highlighted your ignorance not patriotic pride. Their is a difference. Try and follow the community guidelines. You lost one customer and viewer. I sincerely hope you care enough about the others that are still tuned enough to be better.

Your husband was almost right in the pronunciation but its one word. cretacolor this is a german speaking factory. So you you need the german pronunciation. And the upper word is in france pronunciation I think
